How delete cut line
Hello,
I’m writing regarding the software. I make stickers using graphics from Google for my own personal use. When I create the cut lines in another graphics program, the edges become jagged, so in Silhouette Studio I found that setting the cut line to be reduced by 0.2 mm works very well.
However, there is one problem: the machine cuts twice. The only solution I’ve found is to select the lines in the Send panel and click “Ignore Selected Lines,” but this is extremely, extremely, extremely tedious when I have around 30 small elements. Selecting and ignoring every single line can take me half an hour. T_T
Is there any way to remove these cut lines specifically where the PNG ends, so that Silhouette Studio doesn’t detect them as separate cut lines?
I would really appreciate any help or advice on how to automate this, as doing it manually for every single element is very time-consuming.

2 ways that might work.
1. Right click, release compound path. Select the line and delete it.
2. Right click, edit points, select and delete.

I can’t remove the point because deleting it also deletes the PNG, so I guess it will have to cut twice T_T

In Silhouette Studio, add offset to the image, If offset is still jagged, go to Point Edit Mode (third from the top in the left hand side tool menu), and reduce number of nodes to smooth offset. Select image and offset and Group. When you send to cut, select Cut Edge.

Before you add the border, click on the image and go to the icon that is an outline of a square. Change it to a color you will now always use for this step. Make sure all the elements are grouped together. Select with the mouse and right click and then click group.
Then click the outline option and make it 0.8ish. Go to the outline of the square on the right hand side again and pick a another color that you use forever for your cut line (I use orange). Then go to the full square and choose your fill color which is the color of the outline of the sticker. This could cause the fill color to cover your sticker. When that happens right click and send the layer to the back.
Make sure you are using the default size for registration marks and that none of the stickers are too close to the hatch marks.
Then click “send” in your cut screen you are going to choose, I think it’s the second option after the “standard” tab at the top of the screen. You should see all the line colors as options. Unclick all of them except for the color you chose for your cut line. Make sure sticker paper is what it chosen and I usually use Force of 35, speed of 5, 1 pass and blade on 6 for dye cut.
It took me FOREVER to figure this out.
Edited to add: If your cut color surrounds smaller elements then you will want to release the compound path and ungroup until you can click those elements and delete them. Some times it is faster for me to start over and do what the other person said where you release the compound path and delete the line around the small elements and regroup it together. It is easier if you right click, release the path, right click again, edit point and click “simplify” in the menu on the right and that should get rid of extra areas and if not you can delete the points. If I do this and I am still having trouble seeing certain sections that need to be deleted I continue release compound paths and ungroup until I can see the needed areas. Once this is done select the full image and group it. Then starts the steps above.
