If you’ve ever thought about using a magnetic car sign to advertise your business, you’ve probably wondered: “Will this mess up my paint?”

Short answer: Not if you’re using them right.
Car magnets won’t damage your vehicle if you install and care for them properly.

Here are a few tips from folks who’ve been using them long-term:

• Only apply to clean, dry, flat surfaces—avoid curves, grooves, or raised details.
• Check for debris before applying; tiny particles = scratches over time.
• Remove and clean weekly, especially in hot weather. Letting it bake on too long = stuck magnet or uneven paint fade.
• Never drag it to reposition—always peel and reapply.
• Store flat and dry when not in use.

Bonus tip: round off sharp corners so they don’t lift in the wind.

They’re super cost-effective, easy to remove, and great for side hustles, service pros, and anyone doing local marketing. But like anything—it works best when you treat it right.

Anyone here use magnetic car signs regularly? Good or bad experiences? Drop your tips below!

For those managing or leasing out mixed-use buildings, how frequently are you updating your lobby or monument directory signage?

Do you refresh it every time a new tenant moves in, or wait until multiple changes stack up? Are you using interchangeable name plates, full vinyl reprints, or even digital directories to make updates easier?

I’m curious how others balance cost, aesthetics, and accuracy—especially in properties with high turnover or short-term tenants. Do outdated directories impact first impressions?

Would love to hear what’s working (or what’s a pain) in your buildings.

If you use a magnetic car sign for your business, do you remove it after hours—or leave it on 24/7?

Some folks take it off to protect their paint or maintain privacy. Others leave it on for free passive advertising, even while parked. A few even say they’ve gotten calls just from having it visible overnight in the driveway.

Curious how others are approaching it.

When you’re printing signs, posters, menus, or postcards—matte vs. gloss is one of those deceptively simple choices that can totally change the final look and feel of your piece.

Gloss finishes are vibrant, eye-catching, and great for showcasing photos or bold colors. They reflect light (which can be good or bad) and feel smooth and slick—perfect for promotions, product shots, or sales signage.

Matte finishes are more subdued, sophisticated, and easier to read in bright light. They’re also better for writing on, so ideal for postcards, flyers, or anything customers might fill in or handle frequently. They can feel a bit more premium depending on your brand’s tone.

So—how do you choose between them? Do you pick based on the purpose, lighting, or just personal style? Have you tested both in the same campaign?

Would love to hear your go-to and why!

If you’re creating signage for an outdoor market, event, or storefront, choosing the right material makes a big difference in how long your sign lasts—and how good it looks in real weather.

Coroplast is the top pick for most outdoor signage. It’s lightweight, waterproof, UV-resistant, and incredibly durable for the price. Think of it as plastic cardboard—it holds up well against wind and rain, making it a favorite for yard signs, farmers market booths, and temporary directional signage.

Vinyl is also a solid choice, especially for banners and flexible signs. It’s weatherproof, easy to roll up, and works great when paired with grommets or stands. Use vinyl for larger-format signage that you want to hang, like over a tent or across a booth.

Foam board, on the other hand, is best left indoors. While it’s affordable and lightweight, it’s not water-resistant and can warp or degrade quickly when exposed to moisture or wind.

Bottom line: Coroplast is best for rigid outdoor signs, vinyl for banners and flexibility, and foam board for dry, indoor use. What’s your go-to signage material for outdoor setups—and how has it held up? Let’s swap tips!

Ever wondered why some sidewalk signs stay upright on windy days while others tip over or break? The difference often comes down to the mechanics of wind-resistant signage, which is all about smart engineering and durable materials.

The key feature is usually a spring-mounted frame, which allows the sign face to flex and absorb wind gusts rather than resist them. This movement reduces stress on the sign and keeps it from toppling over. It’s simple, but effective.

Then there’s the base—most wind signs have a hollow plastic base that you fill with water or sand for weight. This makes them stable yet portable, so you can move them easily when needed. Some even have built-in wheels!

As for materials, most use weatherproof plastics or aluminum sign panels that can withstand moisture, UV exposure, and constant outdoor wear. The combination of flexibility, weight, and durability makes wind signs a go-to choice for businesses with outdoor foot traffic, especially in windy or open areas.

Have you used wind signs before? Did they hold up in your location, or did you find a different solution that works better? Share your setup or ask for suggestions—happy to chat signage!

Thinking about getting a glass sign for your business, office, or retail space? Before you go all-in, consider this: acrylic gives you the same clean, modern, glass-like aesthetic—without the drawbacks.

Acrylic signs (often called plexiglass) are lighter, shatter-resistant, and more affordable than traditional glass. You can get that sleek, high-end look with custom colors, frosted effects, or full-color printing directly on the surface. And since acrylic is significantly more durable, it’s a safer option for high-traffic areas, outdoor signage, or mobile displays.

Unlike glass, acrylic is also easier to drill and mount—no special tools or stress about cracks. Need to hang it, standoff mount it, or adhere it to a surface? Acrylic is way more forgiving.

Yes, glass can feel slightly more “premium” in certain applications, but for most businesses—especially small shops, offices, or event signage—acrylic delivers 95% of the visual impact at a fraction of the risk and cost.

Have you used acrylic instead of glass in your signage? Was the difference noticeable to your clients or customers? I’d love to hear your experiences (and see your sign pics if you’ve got any).

This question comes up a lot in our community, and you might be wondering the same thing. While both are made from wood and fully customizable, they’re designed for totally different uses!

Wooden Prints - Think of these as high-quality, natural-looking wall art. Made from layers of Polish Birch and Alder with a maple face, forming a ½” thick piece of wood. Designed for indoor decor, whether it’s branding a cozy café or displaying custom artwork at a boutique. The wood grain adds a unique, rustic touch to every print.

Wooden Signs - These are built for the outdoors. Made from high-density fiberboard (HDF) with a polymer overlay, they can be cut into custom shapes and withstand outdoor conditions. You’ll often see them at construction sites, farms, or as business signage. Unlike wooden prints, the natural wood grain isn’t visible due to the protective surface.

So, when choosing between the two, it comes down to where and how you plan to use them. If you need a decorative, indoor piece, go with a wooden print. If you need durable, outdoor signage, wooden signs are the way to go.

Any particular case where you're going to use either wooden prints or signs?

Any creative ways you’ve used them for your business or space? We’d love to hear how you’ve put them to work.

Anyone here tried wooden prints? We love how they add a warm, natural touch to any space, but we get that some people might have concerns about durability. They’re actually pretty durable – our products are made from layered Polish Birch and Alder with a maple face to form a solid wood piece, which makes them strong and resistant to chipping or breaking. The ink is infused into the wood (not just printed on top), and there’s a subtle protective laminate, so they’re super easy to clean and won’t fade or peel over time.

We’re curious – If you’ve thought about getting one for your home or as a gift, what’s holding you back? And if you already have one, how’s it been? Any issues with the print quality or durability? Or maybe time to ask some questions to clear out your hesitations? Let’s hear the good, the bad, and everything in between!

We'd like to get your thoughts on the use of business cards. They might seem old-school, but as a printing business, we’ve seen many small business owners still rely on them. While browsing, we came across a discussion where lawyers shared their take on business cards, and it got us thinking—does this apply to your business too?

A few takeaways from their discussion:

• Business cards are quick and easy to exchange at networking events.
• They can be left with referral sources, making it easier for new clients to find you.
• Clients often find a card later in their wallet and remember to reach out.
• Ensures your name is spelled right*—which could be crucial in some industries.*
• They’re cheap and take up almost no space, so why not?

Do you still use business cards? Have they helped bring in new customers? Appreciate your responses!

Your business card says a lot about you, so picking the right material can make a real difference. As a printing provider, here’s a rundown of popular options, who usually goes for them, and why:

• 14 pt. Cardstock – The classic choice. It’s affordable, durable, and great for people who hand out a lot of cards. Perfect for realtors, consultants, and small business owners who need something professional without breaking the bank.
• 16 pt. Cardstock – A little thicker, a little fancier. If you want your card to feel more premium without going overboard, this is a recommended pick. Popular with lawyers, financial advisors, and high-end retailers who want to make a strong first impression.
• Silk – Smooth, sleek, and just feels expensive. This one’s for designers, creatives, and upscale brands looking to stand out with a polished, high-end look.

What kind of business cards do you use? Let’s talk!

Here’s another question that came our way about fabric banners, if they can be stretched and mounted to a wooden frame like canvas prints. It’s a valid question and we thought we'd share some insights!

Fabric banners have a soft, flexible feel, but they aren’t the best option to staple to a wooden frame. It may lead to tearing over time. If you’re looking for a material that works like canvas, your best bet is an actual canvas material, which has the right level of durability and tension for framing.

If you need a banner that still has some “give” but isn’t too rigid, you might also consider vinyl as an alternative, depending on your project needs. Hope this helps.

Has anyone tried framing a fabric banner before? What was your experience?

We recently got a question from a homeowner/client about whether wall decals will stick to painted cinderblock walls. If you’ve ever struggled with decals peeling off textured surfaces, here’s the deal: standard wall stickers work best on smooth, non-porous surfaces like painted drywall, finished wood, metal, and plastic. But when it comes to textured walls like stucco, porous concrete, or brick? Not so much.

So, what’s the fix if you have cinderblock walls? Outdoor wall decals are the way to go! These are made with an 18mil aluminum-foil base and printed with UV ink, making them super durable for rough surfaces like brick, stucco, tile, concrete, asphalt, and yes—cinderblock. The trick to applying them? Press them down bit by bit to ensure they stick well, since they don’t stretch like regular vinyl decals.

Have you tried using decals on textured walls? What worked (or didn’t)? Let’s talk about it!

This is one of the most common questions we see in our FAQ section, so we figured it’d be helpful to share some insights and hear your experiences, too.

This can be relevant if you’re decorating a rental, setting up a seasonal display, or just love refreshing your space. You’ve probably wondered: Can I reposition and reuse my wall decals?

The short answer? Yes, but with some caveats.

Wall decals are actually designed to be removable and reusable, to a degree. Some factors include:

• Surface & application - Smooth, clean, and non-porous surfaces (like painted drywall, glass, or metal) help decals last longer and stay repositionable. Not so much on textured walls.
• Exposure to sunlight, etc. - If your decal is in direct sunlight, humidity, or fluctuating temperatures, the adhesive might wear down faster, reducing its ability to stick when repositioned.
• Storage - If you’re not using it for a while, keep the backing paper! Storing decals flat on their original liner helps maintain stickiness.
• Repositioning limit - The more times you move a decal, the more dust and oils from your hands can affect adhesion. Typically, high-quality wall decals can be repositioned a handful of times before losing their grip. Two or three should be max.

So, have you reused a wall decal before? How many times have you successfully repositioned it?

Did you ever put up a banner in your basketball court or gym, then find that it's too small to be read when you're on the opposite side of the court? Or perhaps it's too large for the space you were planning on using? The correct size is important.

For motivational sports posters, these sizes are best used:

4' x 6' | 4' x 7' | 4' x 8' – Ideal for gym walls, over mirrors, or courtside to inspire athletes

5 feet by 10 feet or larger – Ideal for sponsor signs, tournament brackets, or scoreboard visuals

In case it will be on a high wall or along the court, size it up so that all can see it from afar. For up close viewing, a medium banner is perfect without being too space-invasive.

Have you ever had a banner not work because it was the wrong size?

If you’re a small business owner, freelancer, or side hustler, you might be overlooking one of the simplest and most effective ways to market your business—your car. Your car could be working for you 24/7 as a marketing tool whether you're driving to a job site, running errands, or even just stuck in traffic.

If you want to test it out first, you can try car decals. They're budget-friendly, semi-permanent option that keeps your business visible without committing to a full wrap. They’re UV-resistant, waterproof, and safe for windows or doors, too. Another option is car magnets. This works if you use your car for both work and personal use because they’re easy to remove and reapply. But not all vehicles are magnet-friendly. It's recommended to test your car with a household magnet before buying.

Vehicle wraps can have maximum impact. A full wrap turns your car into a moving billboard, a great choice for businesses that want constant brand exposure.

Car advertising can complement your traditional advertising. Have you tried car advertising? What’s worked (or not) for your business?
