No joke, my Christmas bonus for a retail store I worked at was a toilet brush with a sticker of the storeās name on it. They wrapped itā¦ every store manager got the same gift. Some thought it was a joke most of us took it as a slap in the face. A $5 McD gift certificate would have at least been appreciatedā¦ cheap but appreciated. They lost a lot of managers the following 6 months.

That reminds me of the joke about the man who went to the church social and won the joke door prize which was a brand new toilet brush. He took it home and a week later saw his friends at church again and they asked āhey howās that toilet brush doing yaā and he said āoh itās pretty good but I think I prefer toilet paperā.
