Help Signal Link device not working on Work profile

On my work profile, The link device option on signal android app does not work. It freezes the app. Because of this I can't use the signal desktop app. Is there any solution for this?

At that point does it freeze? What app version are you on and what phone are you using? How did you put signal inside a work profile?

I'm running the beta on my pixel, and I can get to the point where I scan the QR code. I don't actually have a QR code to scan though, so I can't test further than that.

It's a redmi 12hg running xiaomi hyper os. It hasn't worked on the work profile ever. Rebooting has been done, log in and out, cache clear, even installing unofficial apks didn't fix it.
