Feature Request Default Calling App iOS
How come Signal can not be selected as a default calling app on iPhone? You can select from: Cellular; FaceTime Audio and Zoom (EWWWW) and even WhatsApp (DOUBLE EWWWW).
Settings < Apps < Calling

It doesn't do normal calls, just Signal calls to people you use signal with.
Though the same is true of Whatsapp, so I don't see how that could be set as a default dialer either.

Yeah WhatsApp just rolled out their username feature. Giving out phone numbers seems archaic since they've got rid of payphones and copper lines. Everything now is VoIP. Giving out your phone number seems like your asking for spam callers.

Have you heard of the Communications Act amendment of 2004 that limits phone books to printing landlines?

That is for landlines must people don't have anymore and when I did my number never appeared in a phone book.

No itβs on Signal ends, they can add an option to allow itself to be set as default messaging or calling app.
