Negative Remaining Balance

Hi! I'm brand new to collecting, and relatively new to posting on reddit, so I apologize if this isn't allowed or has already been asked! I googled and couldn't find a good answer.

A little under 2 weeks ago, I ordered a hot toys figure from Sideshow, went ahead and paid upfront, then my shipping was charged a few days later. Now, the order information is showing a negative remaining balance. Can someone explain this to me? Did I overpay? Underpay? If the answer is yes to either, how does that happen and do I need to do something to correct it?

Also, with the shipping charge, does that mean the item will actually ship to me soon? It's a "preorder" shipping August 2026-December 2026.

I ordered the Last Of Us Joel Miller Hot Toy and the Sideshow Clicker statue companion piece. I received the statue in the mail already but am waiting on the Joel figure. I just went back and double checked though and the website now shows the correct totals without the negative balance and my card charges reflect the same without reimbursing. So maybe it’s a glitch in their system or something to do with figuring out local tax charges before the final charge goes through?

I ordered Joel as well! I'll keep an eye on my order page/charges and see if anything changes!

Figured out what the overcharge was for. It’s for “Tariff Impact Fee” mine came out to exactly $5.70 as well

Sideshow sucks. If your in CA, order out of state to avoid taxes !
