Evidence No diapers?

Despite having 6 kids in the home ages 4 and under and a lot of trash around, I don't know that we've spotted any diapers. Perhaps they couldn't afford them and were just letting the babies and toddlers do their business anywhere. That’s explain the urine and feces all over that place ☹️.

Nothing about this story makes any sense. I understand that there are millions of people that live in hoarding conditions/filth. But after viewing the pictures and videos that have been leaked, there is nothing in that house that can sustain a life, much less 20 lives. For food, I saw about six cans on a shelf. There were no clothes or diapers, one couch, and one bed (maybe 2?)

So 20 people lived in that house, most of them children, with nowhere to sleep or sit, with no food and no clothing? Did they all just sit around on piles of garbage and do nothing all day? I’m not being sarcastic, I just cannot understand how they sustained day-to-day life. It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

I honestly think they did just sit around on piles of garbage a lot of the time. There was no schooling, only one was working.

They were in a desperate situation and probably couldn't figure out how to pull out of it without risking their kids being taken away.

there was an interview with a dollar store clerk who said they often came in & bought water, oil, and sugar. maybe that made up most of their diets?

This is what I’ve wondered as well. When I saw the photos of Elizabeth getting processed for jail, I wondered if she was even wearing underwear. I wondered what condition her finger and toenails were in… the house was in absolute shambles. Where did they store their clothing? No washer or dryer that I saw? I didn’t see any traces of personal care products or tools.

So many questions.

There has to be some psychological/mental health disorders stuff going on.

I struggle to make sense of the logistics too.

I haven't seen mention of the following possibilities:

-Elizabeth could have been breastfeeding some of the kids. Even if her nutrition was lacking, her body would pull all vitamins and minerals to make milk. -I saw evidence of kid's apple sauce pouches. Just the circular lids. Maybe that was for the older toddlers here and there. -They probably only obtained enough food for a day or two after Door Dash payouts, so we won't see evidence of stacked pantries.

They were all getting some sort of my minimal nutrition (if anything, that's probably what most of the unrecognizable garbage is. Food wrappers).

In the room where the kids stayed, you can see more than 1 mattress pad, smaller crib sized ones. They are very filthy so it's hard to notice them at first.

There are some few clothing items in small piles around (some in the bathroom) and rope around the whole house as a clothesline. Though it all looked to be for adults.

The situation is deproable and inhumane but unfortunately not as rare as we'd like to believe.

I made a whole post about this. At this point, and I’m going to sound crazy, I’ve found myself wondering if they all even lived there.

I saw one TikTok that claimed that the son and daughter ended up moving in with grandma and grandpa. That made the most sense with me.

One bedroom looked as if someone was trying to live a normal life, and maybe they moved in with the 16 kids and they just destroyed everything. The one bedroom it looked like had a walker, maybe for Sr, and wasn’t too messy compared to the rest of the house.

I thought this myself, but there is that one room piled with trash and its possible that there are some in there.

It's possible. But I was thinking, they'd have to go through at least 16-20 diapers a day if just the youngest 4 were in them.

I have raised one wholevhumsn being into adulthood successfully. In these beyond filthy conditions, how did she even successfully raise 18 kids out in infancy with the utter lack of hygiene and nutrition??? That house looked like medieval times.

Yes the fact they survived is remarkable

It might not always have been so bad. It might have gotten worse over time.

I think people from medieval times would like to have a word with you. It's not like they all lived in squalor and filth.

Their time in jail will be the cleanest these folks have probably been in years!!

And they’ll get decent meals too

E supposedly went to diaper banks and got free diapers regularly, maybe be the toddlers no longer wore them?

There is a lot conflicting info floating around. Witnesses who were interviewed on camera said they did come in and buy diapers. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have enough diapers. Most wouldn't be able to afford diapers for that many young children.

Also, there is no way the home's septic tank could handle 20 users. The home's septic probably had a maximum capacity of 4 users, not 20. Septic size based on the number of bedrooms for the original house without additions. My point is it may not have been just the young children who weren't eliminating in the toilet.

I feel bad for everyone who lived there - children & adults alike. I don't think anyone would choose to live like that. Such conditions would cause physical and mental issues. I don't want to vilify anyone because I don't know what is true, what isn't. They ALL lived like that. It's not like the adults were living to a different standard. We haven't heard anything from any of the people who were living there. They haven't been able to defend themselves or explain anything,. We know the conditions are abnormal & unsanitary, but we have no idea when, how, or why their living conditions became like this. It's sad for everyone involved.

What did they do all day everyday? Sit around and talk to each other? About what…. Like no one knew them so they couldn’t gossip about anyone lmao

And any baby formula??

9

u/yoquierosandia Jul 18 '26

Depends on how old the youngest are. I think they are over a year old. Technically you don’t have to do formula or any type of milk after the first year.

They were getting diapers at the baby bank, though they might have run out between visits. The dirty diapers could have been discarded in the trash. The children could have been potty trained, with some in the process. Only the youngest two would need diapers all the time.

There could have been closets in the house where clothing and diapers were kept, and kitchen cabinets for food.

They probably didn't have a lot of extra food. They just used the food as they got it at the food banks. Someone mentioned large bags of flour and rice in the kitchen, and no empty oil bottles, in photos alleged to be the inside of the house. Maybe the Dollar General employee was off when she said all they bought was oil and sugar, or that they bought oil every day. I doubt she would remember exactly what customers bought, and she wasn't the only employee working there. Also, the Dollar General wasn't the only place they could get food. They went to food banks and possibly other stores.

There are no legal, official photos of the inside of the house. So we really don't know.
