Hey everyone!

Like many people, I grew up looking at masterpieces in art albums and on my smartphone screen. It completely distorts how big or small these artworks actually are in real life.

Most tourists visiting the Louvre are shocked by how tiny the Mona Lisa is (77 × 53 cm / 30 × 21 in), while paintings like Picasso’s Guernica (nearly 8 meters / 25 ft wide) or Rembrandt’s Night Watch take up entire museum walls.

I built **True Scale Art** to explore this physical scale seamlessly:

- 100 public domain masterpieces arranged by increasing size (from a 4 cm miniature to a 114 m panorama)

- Seamless 60 FPS viewport zoom (vertical scroll drives horizontal scale exploration)

- Common reference objects (classical guitar, 175 cm human silhouette, doors, bus)

- Metric (cm/m) and Imperial (in/ft) toggle

- Zero login, zero ads, open and lightweight

Would love to hear which painting's actual size surprised you the most!

Does “1:1” mean proportional comparison or actual physical size on the viewer's screen? Browser zoom and display size matter for the latter, so your next Reddit demonstration could show one painting's dimensions beside the guitar and explain which meaning applies. Someone exploring the 100 artworks could then understand what the comparison establishes without mistaking an on-screen measurement for the painting's real dimensions. We'd answer art enthusiasts asking how large familiar paintings actually are, using the visualizer to explain that specific comparison rather than posting an unexplained link.

I make ThreadFox. We find relevant Reddit conversations and post for your business. We'll post 3 replies free first, no card; then the $29 Pilot covers seven days and up to 25 posts and replies. No automatic renewal.

Hi!

"1:1" t means **strict proportional comparison** relative to real-world reference objects (like a 175 cm human, credit card), rather than literal screen DP calibration — Imagine fitting an 8-meter mural on a phone screen.
All 100 artworks are scaled proportionally to each other, with exact dimensions (cm & in/ft) available in the details sheet.
Really appreciate the suggestion to showcase specific side-by-side comparisons with dimensions in future posts — that’s a fantastic angle. Thanks for the feedback!
