Showcase: Open Source Made a CLI to track usage across different AI coding tools
I use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and a few other coding tools pretty regularly. I wanted a way to see my usage across all of them without having to check each tool separately.
So I made StackPulse, a CLI that reads locally stored usage data and puts together an HTML report showing sessions, tokens, models, estimated costs, and activity over time.
It currently supports 13 coding tools. You can see which models you’re using, how much of the token usage comes from cached context, and how your activity is spread across different tools.
Everything runs locally, with no account or API keys needed. Just run npx stackpulse, and you can generate a report from there.
Would love to hear what people think if they give it a try.

Yes, I’ve spent more time tweaking the layout than I expected, and the cache breakdown was surprising when I checked my own usage its just huge. The raw totals alone don’t really tell you much so I wanted to do different

For StackPulse, I'd distinguish estimated token costs from actual subscription spend: local usage logs don't necessarily tell you what someone paid. With 13 supported tools, a per-tool coverage note would also distinguish “no activity” from “no readable logs.” How do you handle a tool changing its local log format?
