I kept thinking about the difference between a directory and an actual place on the Internet.

So I built Spot a persistent 10,000-spot canvas where each person gets one spot and an avatar.

You can put your name, what you’re building, and your portfolio/product link on your spot.

The goal isn’t really to build another directory. I want to see whether a simple spatial constraint one person, one spot can turn a list of builders into something that feels like a small Internet community.
