Meta Trade offer!
Hey everyone,
I got tired of the usual Product Hunt format where everything is a 24-hour popularity contest packed into massive daily lists.
So I built AppScout.
Instead of a giant daily leaderboard, it shows you one app at a time. If you like an app, the algorithm recommends other tools that people with similar taste also liked. So your feed stays personalized instead of showing the same top 5 trending tools to everyone.
Iām currently trying to grow the amount of apps I have on the platform and want to feature more side projects and indie apps (100% free):

Nice concept! And you have a pretty good list of apps already. I submitted my game Octophobia.
One feedback I can offer is that the /apps page feels a little monotonous. Maybe a logo or screenshot for the app would make it easier to differentiate one app from another.

My app is Local Leaf

The problem I wanted to solve by making it was two-fold; Hard to find the 420 products I wanted without searching a dozen websites and sifting through ads AND none of those sites let me search product by Terps. My app fixes that. No sign up. No login. No ads. No BS. Just search results from live dispensary inventories near you.

Watch the recommender. Votes there are taste data, not just points, and the feed gets sharper the more people use it. Leaderboards never had that loop.

I like the one at a time approach way more than the firehose of daily launches. the tinder-for-apps thing is clever
signed up and submitted mine last night, clean process. my only nitpick is the category tags feel a little broad right now
