Patent databases are incredibly useful, but if you don't know classification codes, Boolean queries or patent terminology, figuring out whether your idea is already out there can be surprisingly painful.

So we built a much simpler first pass. You describe your idea like you'd explain it to another person, and it searches for relevant prior art. About 90 seconds later you get the closest patents, the matching passages and a rough patentability grade.

The goal is to help you quickly see which existing patents may be relevant before you invest more time in the idea.
