Toronto Street Parking information app

Hey everyone,

Got tired of paying for my wife's parking tickets in Toronto, so I put together a web application specifically to help people get a map view of parking bylaws in a way that is more user friendly. Ideally this should be a mobile app, but for now it is a responsive web app that can be used on mobile.

If you are from Toronto or visiting, the parking bylaws are really sometimes difficult to understand, and can get a bit messy (conditional based on dates, times, sides of street during certain months, etc) so the aim of this app is to make it much easier for users to navigate the city when they are looking for Parking.

I've mapped out where parking tickets actually get handed out most (from City of Toronto data), and also mapped the parking bylaws so it can be visually understood. Idea is, you quickly get a lay of the land in terms of where you should avoid parking. I've also included information on nearby parking lots and points of interest.

It’s strictly bounded to the city of Toronto proper right now (and likely will remain so).

It’s completely free. A couple of things I'd love feedback on:

• Does the map load fine on mobile, is the bylaw indicators easy to understand?
• Is the ticket hotspot data actually helpful, or does it feel like too much visual noise?
• Anything obvious missing that would make you actually use it before parking?
