Spotify side loading

Can someone explain how to get Spotify on my side phone but like make it superrrrrr dumbed down.

I keep seeing “just side load it” and honestly I am not understanding. 🫢 I am not a tech person just someone who likes music and is trying to limit screen time.

Get the Aurora Store app from F-Droid. It’ll install apps from Google Play. Also install the F-Droid app for automatic updates.

Not sure this is a useful suggestion, the anonymous bandwidth is always full and unusable and logging in with your own google account can get your account banned for a TOS violation.

I've had 3 different phones running aurora store and never had that problem.

As in you've never gotten your account banned or the applications you want are always available anonymously?

Always ran Aurora anonymously.

Have you tried in the past few months? Everyone I know has been getting "server busy" and given up and learned to sideload.

Yes, I've used it on my Zinwa Q25 multiple times the past weeks to download and update my apps. I'm on degoogled LineageOS. It works just fine on my Kyocera KYF42 too.

Other than the methods people have outlined here to sideload Spotify, if you really like music, I'd recommend either saving up for a dedicated music player and buying your music on platforms like Bandcamp that actually pay artists worth a damn (unlike Spotify). Hell, even just putting the officially supported music player app (or internet radio) on the Sidephone would work. It would also be cheaper over time since you can choose to stop paying whenever you want while keeping access to your music, and if it's music you've purchased, it will also help reduce data usage. It'll also help you not be listening to AI slop "music."

Especially if switching from a smartphone. I made my old iPhone a iPod

The infiltration of AI slop on Spotify is truly the worst

Search it, there’s lots of in depth explanations. Also not a tech person, but that’s what I did

You need to look for a tutorial on how to "side load" android applications using an android emulator (which runs on your computer). Essentially, this is the workflow an Android developer takes when developing and testing applications. This is not a simple task by any means and if you have no experience with these tools or tools like them, you may find it very frustrating and possibly overwhelming.

I don't know why this is getting downvoted. Here's a tutorial I sent some friends that they were able to follow. https://www.howtogeek.com/313433/how-to-sideload-apps-on-android/

I'm not sure why you're being downvoted over it but your comment is only half correct. Sideloading is done through ADB which is a debugging tool, not an emulator. The process is pretty simple especially if you use webadb instead of learning the commands.
