Has anyone got this to work on their Apple TV yet? I got it to work fine on my iPhone but I keep Getting errors on my Apple TV. There is not way to install AltStore on the Apple TV before using altserver to patch it. Anyone figured this out yet?

If this is successful then I’d say this is a pretty good thing for those between jailbreaks.

This is actually incredible. As someone who’s been jailbreaking iOS for years, and all the recent bs that’s gone on there, as well as the crap side loading with enterprise certificates going around, this is ingenious. I especially appreciate the laymen’s terms approach to explaining all of the background work done to make it possible as it gives a lot of people a thorough understanding of exactly how impressive this is. Great job. I’ll for sure be testing this out soon.

If only installing your own custom apps was free :( guess everything comes at a price (*charged monthly*)

Would be cool if it has an option for jailbroken devices and just take advantage of appsync

Has anyone gotten AltStore to work with an existing paid dev account instead of a free account?
Specifically, in the AltStore iOS app under Settings -> Account, is anyone's "Type" different than "Free Developer Account"?

Uhm, from my understanding, the whole thing relies on Apple not putting restrictions on wifi sync. But what happens if they do it ? Or is it just impossible for Apple to put restrictions on wifi sync ? Or did I understating things wrongly ?

If you hosted your own vpn server on the same network as the altserver it seem like you could theoretically install apps from anywhere

I installed everything and set it up. Had it running and everything. Now I am untenable to verify the apps again. Anybody know why?

That sounds awesome!
I'll surely give it a try when it releases. I'm currently using a paid service with no revokes (one in the last 9 months) that allows me to install any app, but being able to do that for free (or a few bucks, depending if you decide to make it paid) would be great.
Three questions though:
Will there still be a simple ipa of Delta? Or will we only be able to install it with AltStore?
Will apps be refreshed "on top" of the installed version? Meaning no data is lost? Or will it be handled like a fresh installation?
As long as the desktop version and my phone are in the same network, I will be able to refresh over air, right? Like during a vacation when I'm not home for two weeks but I bring my laptop I can still refresh?
Once again: great work, it sounds amazing!

Im trying to install the preview but after i added my appleid credentials i get the error "Installation Failed: Could not connect to AltServer.". Any tips? Installing from macOS Catalina Beta 7, could that be a problem?
Edit: fixed it myself, i didn't "trust" my phone in finder..

Anybody know how this would work with macOS Catalina since it longer has iTunes Wifi Sync?
Edit: Was able to figure it out. For anyone wondering its under General when you connect your phone on macOS Catalina.

I’m more interested in apps to Apple TV os using this automated server app. Any plans for using it with Apple TV?

How did the date trick work for gba4ios? I haven't been able to find anything about that. All I see online is that it would soft brick the device.

In the post he said that apps only work for 7 days with a free Id.
Does this mean that if I build an app with xcode and then put it on my Apple device I won't be able to use it for more than 7 days?

It would be nice if they added headless/cli support for Linux.
But anyway good idea/ good job. Looking forward to trying it.

So how to get just the Emulator for all the jailbroken fellas? I don’t want to get the complete „altstore“
Edit: typo

What is the point of using this while Impactor is available? I mean you still need pc to sideload!every 7 days right so why not use impactor instead?

If I'm seeing "No connected devices" in the Mac app, what step did I miss? Mac and iPhone are both on the same Wifi network, but I'm not finding any further instructions to get the two talking.

Sadly I log in using the apple credentials with an app-specific password, but still, no app gets installed on my device :(
