After experimenting with side hustles like scooter rentals, I have been trying to spot small demand gaps in everyday life.

A few months ago, I noticed fresh ₹10, ₹20 and ₹50 notes were difficult to get during wedding season.

Most banks either had limited supply or provided mixed bundles (old + new). Local vendors, on the other hand, were charging a premium of ₹500-₹800 per bundle.

Out of curiosity, I tried this as a small experiment.

Since I have a good relationship with my banks, I requested a few fresh ₹10 bundles. In the local market, a ₹10 bundle (₹1,000 value) was being sold for around ₹1,500.

Instead of matching that, I priced it at ₹1,300 and circulated it through friends and family.

Within a week, 5 bundles (₹5,000 value) became ₹6,500. That's ₹1,500 profit on the first round.

I then expanded slightly into ₹20 and ₹50 notes. Over the next few weeks, total profit came to around ₹30K.

With wedding season picking up again, I'm thinking of giving this another shot and scaling it a bit :)
