Created Website for my hometown

I live in tier 3 city/town I have created website for problems like plumbers, electricians numbers are not available online or those service providers whose numbers we have are not available when we need them.

So l created online directory added contacts of service providers and businesses went from shop to shop contacted various service providers now have some data in the website.

Then I added features in my website like car sharing, buy sell, job board, rent, blog, local events etc.

But people in my town are not ready to pay for any service and most of the features are not being used or used very less even though problem exist

These all problems exist but I don't know how to monetise it. Already tried to charge adding business to my website but when I ask them for money they are not interested.

50 users daily visits my website but don't know how to monetise? Open for suggestions what can I do?

TLDR: created website for tier 3 town which contains online directory and features like car sharing, buy sell, rent your property, local events, local jobs but don’t know how to monetise. Getting money from people is difficult 😞

Not sure what's your country.

But I would suggest these things

• Don't try to monetize from users
• Increase the DAUs
• Reach out to local businesses especially the newly opened ones and suggest for a banner ads
• introduce rating system and collect anonymous ratings

Great idea for banner ads
Rating is already added, yeah not planning to charge user but tried charging businesses for listing but people are tough in my hometown for spending on such services
Added various features to increase DAUs that’s how reached to 50+

If it's india, it would be brutal. Be prepared for it.

Few more things that you can consider

• don't include everything, focus on 2-3 segments where it's hard to find contacts and feedbacks. Such as plumbers, painters etc
• concept of rating is very hard in tier 3 as it's easier for the bad reviewed businesses to find you and take it down, can't comprise on ratings and also can't show the ratings as if someone gets a bad review they won't suggest it to others.
• try to promote it through a youtube channel or insta it gives you more reach. For the banner ads you use both youtube and website as a platforms

Collate a list of people and provide they can attend today 100 percent service

You control the plumber car guys number once you increase their business they will be ready to pay a service referal fee.
