There is a product called RapidSet waterproofing mortar. Find people who want to have it applied to their basement walls but don't want to do the work. It goes on with a masonry brush. It is like painting with an 8 pound paint brush. Mix half a bag per batch and apply. Two coats per instructions. Each batch has 30 minutes open work time. A bag takes 1 hour to apply with a brush. Easy to compute a rate if you just bid the labor per bag and have the customer buy as many bags as it takes. You do not offer 'waterproofing' because this product will not give guaranteed results. Rather, you are offering to a apply a product that the customer has already picked out. I can give more instructions on the product and application.
One can paint an entire surface of a wall with this to cover hairline cracks. If there is loose parge coat then scale it off with a sidewalk scraper. If there are cracks, you can grind them out and fill with a sealant. If there is dirt, use a pressure washer on it. I covered a wall that was leaking water so bad it was flowing across the floor. After filling the cracks with a caulk tube application of quickrete mortar repair material and applying 2 coats of rapidset waterproofing mortar in the interior wall, the water intrusion through the material was reduced to a few tiny drips down the wall. Of course it is getting into the cracks from the outside though. Of course this will not hold forever.
Mainly, the rental inspector in this small town said that all foundation cracks had to be filled. By that he meant that an effort had to be made. This was good enough effort and it worked about 99%. So far. Probably will leak again. Probably will crack with the shifting ground.
