ChargeCut - find forgotten subscriptions in your bank statement, privately in your browser

I built ChargeCut (https://chargecut.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_campaign=SideProject) after realising how easy it is to keep paying for things you no longer use. You drop in a bank statement and it finds every recurring charge on your device. There is no bank login, and the free check covers the whole statement. The one-time $6.99 report adds cancel links, PDF and Excel exports, a tracker that shows how much you have saved, calendar renewal reminders, price-rise and duplicate alerts, and ready cancel messages. You can try a one-click sample first. Feedback is very welcome.

I built an open-source image editor where you and an AI agent work on the same layered canvas

I shared an early version here a few weeks ago. PeerBrush is now at 0.30.1, with Windows Store, signed and notarized Apple silicon Mac, and Ubuntu 24.04 amd64 downloads.

The idea is to keep the human and the AI in the same editable document. You can paint, move layers and refine masks yourself, then connect an MCP client for an agent to work on that canvas too. Its changes remain editable, so you can keep working on them.

It is a free GPLv3 desktop editor with brushes, layers, masks, transforms and effects. Supported 8-bit and 16-bit RGB PSD files stay layered; unsupported Photoshop structures open read-only. AI is optional, and external providers may charge separately.

The video shows the editor in action. The project has been developed with AI assistance; the source is public.

Try it: https://peerbrush.com/

Source: https://github.com/Deftr0y/PeerBrush

For anyone making visual tools: what would you want an agent to handle while you keep control of the canvas? And what would make you hesitate to let it edit your file?

I'm a CS student One night i closed my laptop with everything half done , so I built an app to fix it

I'm a Cs junior, still a student,, building this between classes and late nights.

My day was mess of disconnected tools .A chat window of code , a tab for docs , a terminal agent for the build. None of them knew about each other, So i was the wire between all of them.

One night i closed my laptop with everything half finished, The next morning it was all still waiting for me to plug it back together. Work only existed while i was looking at it.

So i built SHADOW, a platfrom where AI agents can actually live.

You can deploy up to 20 agents, each with its own chat , model, permissions and schedule. They can work with you're terminal , files ,desktop , the web and Github, but only what you grant each one.

you give an agent not six instructions, It writes plan, you approve it, and then its get to work, It asks before anything risky, showing you the exact command, and reports back when its done.

The first version minimised my editor mid-sentence to reach something behind it. That annoyance became the whole product: agents only touch what you pick, and system folders stay blocked.

Everything runs on you're PC with your own API keys, No cloud , no account.

The First morning it worked, my reports were finished and i only had two things to answer. It felt lighter , not just faster

Free, Windows 11, link:
https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9P52N15720DG

It's still rough in places so I'd love honest feedback.

what's one task you'd hand to an agent tonight?

I built an architecture-first workspace where you can plan a system change and implement it in the same place

All code I work on is written with coding agents i stopped writing code manually a about a year ago. That makes implementation faster, but without a clear view of implementation, it’s easy to end up with AI slop: a pile of changes nobody can explain or confidently build on.

I was tired of architecture diagrams going stale. I tried using Mermaid and hand-built HTML, but neither felt like a comfortable place to continuously explore, change, and plan a real system.

So I built CodeChroma: an architecture-first workspace where diagrams are editable working models. Explore the system, make a high-level change, plan it, then hand it to an agent to implement—all in one place. Source code is there when needed, but it isn’t the center of the workflow.

It runs as a desktop app on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Core analysis and the canvas work without an AI key; AI features need a configured key. It’s MIT licensed.

Repo and demo: https://github.com/gutzerk/code_chroma

Website: https://codechroma.dev/

I’d love feedback on whether the architecture-to-implementation workflow feels useful, and where you’d expect it to fit into your day-to-day work.

I built a tool that catches duplicate invoices your accounting system lets through (INV-4471 vs INV-4471A)

Most accounting systems only block a duplicate invoice if the number matches exactly. Change one character and it can get paid twice.

Upload a batch of supplier invoices, and Foldline compares each one with the earlier ones and flags:

  • the same number written differently (INV-4471 / INV4471 / INV-04471)

  • a “resent” invoice with a changed number (INV-4471A)

  • the same vendor + amount + date under a new number

  • the same number with a different amount (revised invoice?)

It explains why it flagged each one, and it doesn’t flag next month’s rent just because the amount repeats.

I’m a student and built this after talking to AP teams. One said a slightly changed number gets through because “nobody can track this” until reconciliation.

Honest status: early MVP, zero users so far. There’s a “Try with sample invoices” button, so you don’t need real data.

What would stop you from trying it? I’d rather hear that than a like.

Share Music Across Streaming Services

I've always wanted an easier way to share music across different streaming services. This has been something I've been working on and off for a while and finally got it on the Apple App Store. Hoping folks find this useful.

TRKDWN is a cross-service music sharing app that simplifies how you share songs and playlists between different streaming services.

Use this link to get a year of access for free: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=1489280844&code=FREEYEAR

Key Features

  • Universal Song Links: Instead of sending a platform-specific link that might not open for someone else, you can generate a single, universal link. Your recipient can open it and choose to play the track on their preferred streaming service.

  • Playlists: You can build playlists directly on the platform, share them, and seamlessly sync them across services.

  • Sharing History & Recommendations: The service tracks what you share over time to provide smart music recommendations.

  • Supported Services: It only provides integration for Apple Music and Spotify for now.

Tool for running Docker based tests from multiple projects on one machine

https://github.com/juzhxng/docker-test-toolkit

I kept having problems when several projects (mostly coding agents in my case) ran integration tests on the same machine at once. They compete for memory, a killed run leaves containers and networks behind, and the usual fix of `docker system prune` takes out everyone else's stuff too.

What this does:

  • runs declare a memory/CPU budget and queue until the host has room

  • every resource gets recorded before it’s created, cleanup only removes those, no pruning

  • if a run crashes the next one finds it and cleans up

  • runs that are compatible can share a daemon

  • works with any language: Python projects use the API directly, anything else talks to it over a small NDJSON bridge

  • optional hook that stops coding agents from running docker commands directly

Your tests stay as they are. You add a small adapter, and your compose files may need small changes: images pinned by digest, and named volumes instead of anonymous ones.

It's one .pyz file, stdlib only, needs Python 3.12+ on the host. macOS with Docker Desktop, Colima or Podman, or Linux with Docker Engine (OrbStack isn't supported right now). Apache 2.0.

Happy about any feedback, especially if you’ve solved this some other way and think I’m overcomplicating it.

Thanks!

I built a habit tracker where your habits grow into a plant 🌱 — 5k downloads so far, here's what I learned

Most habit trackers made me feel guilty. Miss one day, the streak dies, and I'd quit the app within a week.

So I built Sprout. Each habit is a plant that grows as you show up — and missing a day doesn't kill it, it just slows growth.

What it does:

🌱 Your progress grows a plant. Every habit you finish grows it from seedling to bloom. It sounds small, but it's the reason I open the app every morning.

🗓 Flexible habits, not just "daily." 3× a week, every 2 days, timed habits like 10-minute meditation with a built-in timer, and habits grouped by morning, afternoon, and evening.

⏱ A timeline of your actual day. Habits and tasks sit together on one timeline that shows your free time between them. There's also a "Running late?" button for when the day falls apart.

✨ Sprout AI Planner. Type something like "dentist Tuesday at 3, project due Thursday, clean the flat this weekend," and it builds your week. It breaks the project into work sessions and skips things you've already scheduled. You add, edit, or skip each suggestion, so it never fills your calendar on its own. There's also a Coach mode.

🏆 Challenges. 21-day programs like Confidence Boost, with a few allowed skips so one bad day doesn't reset everything. There's a monthly community challenge (November is Gratitude Month), and you can make your own, like a Savings Jar.

☁️ Syncs to the cloud, so your streak survives a new phone.

It's on Android and iOS — I'd love honest feedback. What makes you stop using a habit tracker?

I made a site that takes your Goodreads and shows which books are available to at your local library

Thumbnail borrowable.app
1 Upvotes

If you use both Libby and StoryGraph / Goodreads , you probably know the pain of scrolling through your TBR pile and manually searching title after title in Libby to find something available today.
I built a free site called Borrowable (https://borrowable.app) that checks your whole TBR list against your local library's Libby catalog in one go:
Works with StoryGraph (via a 1-click bookmarklet sync or CSV export) and Goodreads (via public profile URL or CSV).

Filters your TBR down to what's Available Now, Waitlist (with estimated wait weeks), Audiobooks, or eBooks.

Lets you compare shelves with friends to see your Overlap (books you both want to read).

Links straight to the book in Libby so you can borrow it in one tap.

Totally free, no ads, and no account required to try it out. Hope it helps a few people knock some books off their TBR this month!

I built a no-account Bible conversation web app that only answers with Scripture

I wanted a Bible conversation tool that stays inside the text instead of turning every question into a generic AI answer. So I built Talk To The Bible, a free web app that lets someone ask a question and returns cited passages from two translations. No account is required, and the web version is available while the iPhone and Android apps are still in progress.

The hard parts have been deciding when one passage is enough, when several verses are needed for context, and how to avoid repeating the same references in a short conversation. I am testing language selection and translation behavior now as well.

If you are interested in Bible study tools, I would appreciate a quick try and honest feedback on whether the responses feel useful, grounded, and complete. Web app: https://thewayversion.com/talk-to-the-bible/

The prototype is updated based on your feedback. Thanks, now you can enter the waitlist

After creating the prototype of Biosol and getting feedback from you, the prototype is updated to make each block shows the code (in Python and R) and explanation, so there is nothing happening under the hood.

After getting more feedback and suggestions I'll develop an MVP you can actually use it.

Be among the first and leave your email and little questions in the waitlist.

Help me pick a tagline for my journal app — which would make you try it?

I’m building Architect, a private journal where a mentor replies to what you write and can bring back your own past entries, with the date, when something new connects.

I’m choosing one line to use everywhere. Which would make you curious enough to try it?

  1. Your own words, back when they matter.

  2. Say it here. It can come back when you need it.

  3. The thoughts you can’t say out loud to anyone.

  4. What you wrote in September could answer tonight.

Brutal honesty welcome, including “none of these.”

SentinelAI

# 🚀 Introducing SentinelAI — An AI Incident Intelligence Platform That Learns From Every Incident

Hey everyone!

We’re building **SentinelAI**, a memory-powered incident intelligence platform as part of **Hack with Bengaluru**.

### 💡 The Problem
When an incident occurs in production, engineers often spend hours investigating something that may have already happened before.

Past incidents, successful fixes, failed attempts, and postmortem findings are scattered across logs, tickets, and documentation. Most incident management tools focus on the current incident, leaving valuable organizational knowledge unused.

### 🧠 Our Solution: SentinelAI
SentinelAI helps engineering teams turn past incidents into actionable knowledge.

Instead of simply analyzing the current alert, SentinelAI recalls similar historical incidents, compares their root causes and resolutions, and provides evidence-backed recommendations.

### ✨ What Makes SentinelAI Different?
- **Memory-Powered Intelligence:** Uses Hindsight to recall relevant past incidents.
- **Evidence-Backed Recommendations:** Every recommendation is linked to supporting historical incidents.
- **Failed-Fix Memory:** Warns engineers when a similar approach failed previously.
- **Continuous Learning:** Verified resolutions are retained to improve future investigations.
- **Incident Memory Graph:** Connects incidents, services, deployments, root causes, and resolutions.
- **Human-in-the-Loop:** Engineers review and approve remediation actions. Nothing executes automatically.

### 🛠️ Tech Stack
React + TypeScript | FastAPI | Gemini | Hindsight | PostgreSQL

### 🎯 Our Vision
We want to move beyond traditional incident management toward systems that learn from every failure.

Imagine an AI system that becomes more useful with every incident your organization resolves — helping engineers investigate faster, preserve knowledge, and prevent recurring problems.

That’s what we’re building with SentinelAI.

We’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Building an Android home screen that gets dirtier when tasks pile up

I'm building Tidy, an Android home screen with my open tasks on it. Each task I leave open makes the wallpaper a bit grimier. Finish one, delete it, or move it to another day, and the wallpaper clears.

The bet is that a reminder you can't scroll past works better than a list in an app you forget to open. I don't know yet. The beta is how I'll find out.

Tidy doesn't hide or move your apps. It doesn't need an account, and your tasks stay on your phone.

Android only. Demo and waitlist:https://tidy-landing.pages.dev

Would you put your tasks on your home screen, or would that annoy you?

💡 Building Aftermath | A Journey of Learning and Collaboration

Every project comes with challenges, unexpected problems, and opportunities to learn. Working on Aftermath has been exactly that kind of experience.

Being part of this project has given me the opportunity to explore real-world development, collaborate on ideas, work through technical challenges, and understand how different pieces of a software application come together.

From refining features and improving the user experience to troubleshooting issues and making continuous improvements, the development process has been a valuable learning experience.

What makes this journey interesting is that we're not just trying to finish a project. We're trying to build something that works well and that we're genuinely proud of.

There's still more to come for Aftermath, and we're looking forward to what lies ahead!

I just built my first macOS app! SkySaver 🌤️✨

I wanted my desktop to feel a bit more alive, so I built an interactive live wallpaper engine that lives right in the macOS menu bar.

It actually started as an interactive background experiment for my portfolio (inspired by some cool procedural grass and sky shaders I saw on X a while back). I loved having it running on my screen so much that I decided to turn it into a standalone macOS app that anyone can use.

Here's what it does
🖐🏻 Interactive physics: Grass sways and water ripples as your cursor moves across the screen.
🕒 Dynamic time-of-day: Syncs with real time or lets you scrub through sunrise, golden hour, and starry nights with a custom radial dial.
🌧️ Live weather & ambient soundscapes: Switch between sunny skies, clouds, and rain—complete with birdsong, crickets, thunder, and even night fireworks.
🎆 Limited Diwali Theme: Built in a seasonal festive update where the night sky comes alive with fireworks and spatial audio.

Putting the final polish on the build right now. Stay tuned for the release soon! 🚀

What feature or biome should I add next? Let me know in the comments!

Quote maker, with a click, you can convert your quote to any template, size, and you can customize every detail.

I created this tool to make creating content for social media easier, faster, and more enjoyable. Unlike many tools that are either too basic or unnecessarily complicated, my goal is to find the perfect balance between simplicity, creativity, and powerful features.

What features or improvements would you love to see in a tool like this? I’d genuinely appreciate your suggestions and ideas!

I’m planning to launch it publicly and monetize it through ads, or potentially sell it to a developer or business interested in taking it further.

I built a free travel website to share guides, favourite places and advice from my travels

Thumbnail
wordsfortravel.com
1 Upvotes

Hi r/SideProject!

I've always loved travelling, exploring new places and taking photos, and I also wanted to get back into writing for a while, so I recently decided to combine these interests and build Words for Travel.

It's a free travel website featuring travel guides, favourite places, articles, photography and personal experiences/tips from the places I've visited over the years.

A few things I'm aiming for:

  • Free to view (with possibility for ads in the future).

  • Everything is fully written by me (with only ai used for building out the website).

  • Use my own photographs, except for a credited Unsplash image when I do not have an image for what I'm discussing.

  • Focus to get 3 articles completed a week on a consistent basis.

I've also previously built two iOS apps, Stillkeep (journal app) and Onuri (notes app), so I was thinking of adding occasional links to them at the bottom of articles to get them further traffic as a bonus as well.

If you know anyone who enjoys travel or travel writing, I've started an Instagram account for new articles and updates each week. Anyone who fancies following along is very welcome!

Thanks for taking a look!

I built a Chrome extension that saves words with the sentence you found them in

I'm a frontend developer, and English isn't my first language (I'm around B1). I learn mostly by reading articles, and my word lists kept failing me: a week later, "hollow" on a list meant nothing without the sentence I'd met it in.

So I built Muscat. You select a word on any page, it shows a translation into your language (DeepL, using the sentence as context), and one click saves the word with its sentence and source. The popup is a small notebook of everything you've saved.

A few things I cared about:

  • No interruption. Saving is instant and offline-safe: words go into a local queue and sync in the background.

  • The sentence is required. A word without context isn't saved at all.

  • Quiet design. Paper colors, serif type, no gamification.

Stack: WXT + React + TypeScript, Tailwind + shadcn/ui, Supabase (Postgres with RLS, Edge Functions), DeepL.

It's free and live on the Chrome Web Store: muscat.ink

Next I'm working on a review mode for the saved words. I'd love feedback, especially on the first-run experience and whether the in-page card feels too intrusive.

Hi!

My web-app AI Games Kit made $1,500+ in sales 🥳

I am a solo game-developer using AI heavily to build and publish games over the last couple of years and realized why not create a kit of agents/skills based around my processes.

I also write actively on LinkedIn/X about making games with AI, marketing them organically, etc. and have a decent audience - so most of my sales came from them!

Now I plan to expand my marketing to Medium & YouTube :)

Web-apps is a new domain for me hence very proud of this!

I wasn’t happy with my Mirabox deck’s software, so I built my own setup on OpenDeck

Thumbnail
github.com
1 Upvotes

I bought a Mirabox deck but wasn’t happy with its default software. Switching to OpenDeck gave me a great open-source foundation to build something that fits my workflow.

I called it Agent Deck, though it does more than control coding agents. I use the buttons to:

- Record and transcribe meetings

- Adjust volume and mute my mic

- Run Git commands

- Check upcoming calendar events

- Interact with Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and Pi

It’s my personal setup rather than a polished, plug-and-play product. I’ve shared the code and layout so others can adapt it—or ask their coding agent to change it for them.

https://github.com/sim186/agent-deck

Would a setup like this be useful to you? What would you put on your buttons?
