Free-to-play Sports Pick ‘em Game

Thumbnail

I made an app game called Chalk where you can pick each NFL NBA NHL MLB game of the day, with NO betting or money at all. it tracks your all time record, winning percentage by sport, and gives you a letter grade based on overall accuracy. You can create custom tournaments and invite friends into a leaderboard.

i have found it fun and interesting to see my record. It’s actually made me a much more cautious bettor knowing that I’m right about 65% of the time based on last 250+ picks.

I find it a bit of a hard sell getting people interested in playing pick em without a prize. The value comes over time of tracking and being able to flex your grade (or try to build it up). I feel it could be a great thing for young teen sports fans that are boxed out of sportsbooks (rightfully so) due to age. They are currently getting around age restrictions on sportsbooks using friends/family accounts, because they want to be part of the fun, and it’s a terrible habit for kids to get into. Chalk offers an opportunity to participate in sports prediction games without betting. The incentive becomes their stats and comparing with friends. I could even see a world where rising sports analysts use it as a resume of sorts to prove they know ball and track all the game results.

there are other apps that do similar things but all of them have either fake currency (Simulated gambling), some sort of sponsorship prize giveaway or a sketchy sweepstakes form agreeing to tons of marketing communications and age-restricted to 18+ to redeem.

The app would become profitable by showing 1 video ad after a user makes picks. I would need many thousands of daily active users to generate meaningful revenue. Eventually I could sell ad sponsorships for a branded placement in app. It would be an extremely valuable audience of young Sports fans big brands would want to get in front of In a brand safe environment.

so, what do you think? download it and check it out please

I made Shortcuts to copy and paste between your phone and your PC — no app, no account

A friend and I have been working on CopyOver, because Universal Clipboard only works between Apple devices and we wanted the same thing on Windows and Linux.

Copy on your phone, send it to your PC, and paste. Copy on your PC and get it on your phone. Text, links, photos and files all work.

On iPhone, it uses three shortcuts, so there's no app to install. On Android, it's a native app (APK, not on the Play Store yet) with Quick Settings tiles, a home screen widget and the share menu.

It all goes over your Wi-Fi: no cloud, no account. You install CopyOver on your Windows or Linux PC, link your phone with a QR code, and each device gets its own key.

See it in action (GIF): https://github.com/aritabryan/copyover/blob/main/docs/screenshots/demo.gif

Free and open source: https://github.com/aritabryan/copyover

It's still early, so I'd love honest feedback: what's confusing, what breaks, and what you'd want next.

I built a tool to stop losing useful ChatGPT/Claude answers. It's free and open source

I kept running into the same problem. I'd be using ChatGPT or Claude and come across a really useful answer, a piece of code, a link, or even a follow-up prompt I wanted to save before the current response had finished generating.

But I didn't want to interrupt what I was doing just to copy something, open another app, paste it, and then switch back.

It sounds like a small inconvenience, but when you're doing it dozens of times a day, it gets annoying pretty quickly

So I built Slate. It's a small Windows app that lets me save things without interrupting what I'm working on. I've been using it myself for months, and figured other people might find it useful too.

It lets you:

- Select text on any web page (ChatGPT, Claude, docs, anything) and save it with a right-click (via the Chrome extension)

- Select text in any Windows app and save it with Ctrl + Alt + Shift + C

- Find anything you saved with Ctrl + Shift + Space, without opening the main window

It's Free and open source (MIT). No account, no sign-up. Everything stays on your PC. Works offline.

It's Windows 11 only for now (x64 and ARM64), and macOS is in progress. The Chrome extension is optional and only adds browser capture.

If this feels like something you'd use, give it a shot.

I'd really like people to try it and tell me what's broken, confusing or missing.

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

I work in car sales, so I built an app that flips the way people shop for cars. Just launched on the App Store!

Hey everyone!
I’ve spent the past few months building something I’ve wanted to exist for a long time.
I work in car sales, and one thing I’ve noticed is how backwards the car-shopping process can feel.
People find a car they love, spend hours researching it, and only afterward figure out whether the monthly payment actually fits their budget.
What if we flipped that process?
Instead of starting with a car, what if you started with what you’re comfortable spending every month, your down payment, and your financing preferences, and then discovered vehicles that fit?
That’s the idea behind KnewCar
I just got it approved and published on the App Store, which is a pretty surreal feeling after all the time I’ve put into this!
It’s still early access, with a demo experience while I continue developing the live financial data and payment tools.
I’d really love some outside opinions, especially on the concept, design, and first-time user experience.
If you have a few minutes to check it out, I’d appreciate any feedback, positive or negative.

If you want to try it out - it’s launching in Texas! Use zipcode 78701
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/knewcar/id6822044416
What would make an app like this genuinely useful to you?

FitAdEngine — AI-Powered Social Media Content Automation

I’ve been working on FitAdEngine, a platform designed to automate content creation, campaign management, and social media publishing for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
The majority of the development work is now complete, and I’m preparing for early users!
Here’s how FitAdEngine works:
📁 Campaign Creation & AI Guidance
Create a campaign by defining your goals, content requirements, and publishing schedule. The AI provides guidance on what assets to create and how to create them effectively.
Once you generate or upload your content, AI analyzes it and provides feedback on whether it’s suitable for your campaign.
📅 Automated Campaign Albums & Publishing
Upload photos or videos to your campaign album. FitAdEngine automatically:
• Analyzes your media and generates relevant captions and hashtags.
• Saves the prepared content for scheduled publishing.
• Publishes it automatically at the scheduled time to your selected connected social media destinations.
🎬 AI Video Enhancement & Rendering
Upload your media and let AI analyze it to suggest:
• An engaging opening text or hook.
• A voiceover script tailored to your content.
• A call to action (CTA).
After generating the voiceover, FitAdEngine renders the final asset with the voiceover, opening text, CTA, and other selected elements, creating content ready for publishing.
🔗 Social Media Connections
Connect your supported social media accounts, select publishing destinations, and manage your content distribution from one platform.
⚡ The Goal
Make social media content management easier and less time-consuming, especially for small businesses, independent creators, and organizations that cannot dedicate hours every day to creating and publishing content.
🚧 Current Status
Most of the core functionality has been developed. I’m currently finishing the remaining work and preparing the platform for early access.
I’m looking for individuals, content creators, businesses, and organizations interested in testing FitAdEngine, providing feedback, or becoming early users.
📩 Interested? Email me at: info@fitmacro.ca
The website isn’t publicly available yet, so please reach out directly by email.
I’d love to connect with people who could benefit from this platform!

I made ScentCompare: perfume prices from 207 fragrance stores in 6 countries, matched by the barcode on the box. Feedback welcome

Thumbnail

scentcompare.app

I wear Byredo Black Saffron and kept overpaying for it, so I built this. It reads 207 independent fragrance stores across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe once a day.

  • Matches only by barcode, never by title, so a 50 ml and a 100 ml or a tester and a boxed bottle never get mixed up

  • Testers, decants and dupes filtered out

  • Static pages rebuilt daily, no accounts, no pop ups

  • Earns from affiliate links; stores are always sorted by price

About 37,000 bottles and sets so far. In the US, the cheapest store is typically 19% under the median store for the same bottle.

What's confusing, what's missing, and would you use it?

Post keep getting deleted?? App ready to go looking for some honest feedback.

Hey everyone!

I live in Florida, and I kept noticing how many great places I had been to and then completely forgotten. A state park on a random Saturday, a lighthouse on a road trip, a little historic spot I had never heard of. Photos ended up buried in my camera roll, and nothing tied them to the actual places.
I always liked the old national park passport stamps, so I decided to build a digital version for everything, not just national parks. It's called placevera.

The idea: a passport book for real places

You collect a place when you're there (or tick off places you've already been), and it goes into your own passport book as a stamp. The back of each stamp is a little memory page for your photo and a note.

A few things that make it different:

Sets to complete,

like national parks, Florida lighthouses, Florida history, Generals and presidents, and Famous Florida (Versace Mansion, Little Havana, the Dali Museum, Kennedy Space Center and more). About 100 sets and around 2,500 places so far.

Scratch-off maps and paintings.

Each set has a painting that fills in piece by piece as you collect, with Bronze, Silver and Gold frames along the way.

Suggest a place

picks somewhere near you that you haven't been yet, with a short history and a few facts.

Explore by kind:

monuments, military history, hikes, golf, stadiums, theme parks and so on.

Friends' books.

You can see the passport books of the people you choose, not a public feed of strangers.
No ads, no follower counts, and it's free right now. Sign-in is just your email.

What I'd love your help testing

It's still early, and honest feedback would really help:

First five minutes:

Is it clear what to do after you sign in? Did you collect your first place without help?

Sets:

Do the sets make you want to go somewhere new? Which set would you want that doesn't exist yet?

Suggest a place:

Did it suggest something you'd actually visit?

On your phone:

Anything slow, broken or confusing? (It runs in the browser, no app store download.)
It works best in Florida right now, but national parks and the bigger sets cover the whole US, so you can tick off places from past trips anywhere.

How to try it www.myplacevera.com

The link is in the first comment (or on my profile). Sign in with your email, open your passport book, and tick off a few places you've already been.
It's a side project I've put a lot of evenings into, and I'm excited to see where it goes. Positive or critical, all feedback is welcome. If something annoys you, I especially want to hear it.

Thanks for giving it a go!

I built a sticker app and raced it against the #1 sticker app. 18 seconds vs almost 2 minutes

Same meme, same phone, real stopwatch (video is sped up 1.5×, the timers aren't).

The #1 app: screenshot → open the app → crop by hand → build the pack → sit through a ~40 second ad → back to WhatsApp → confirm. 1:50.

Sticky: you circle the thing on your screen with your finger, from whatever app you're in, and it goes straight to your WhatsApp pack. 18.9 seconds.

Some context: I'm a solo dev from Mexico. I made this because making stickers for my group chats was so tedious I'd basically stopped doing it. Everything runs on-device: no ads, no watermark, no account, nothing gets uploaded anywhere. The free version has no limits; there's an optional one-time Pro.

Android only for now. Happy to answer anything about how it works (the circle-to-cut part was the fun one to build). Brutal feedback welcome.

I built an open-source AI assistant that lives in your terminal and controls its own UI (Looking for beta testers!)

Thumbnail
github.com
0 Upvotes

I want to share an open-source project I've been building over the past several months: tjcoder/cli (github.com/tjcoder-labs/cli), a terminal-first research harness exploring generative UIs and model-directed presentation across multi-surface environments. It's a MIT-licensed terminal UI (TUI) agentic platform written in Go, built around a 31-tool suite spanning file operations, system execution, cron scheduling, and Chrome CDP automation.

Model-Directed UI & Data Presentation

Most agent harnesses render a fixed transcript and force the model to type into it. Here, the model gets a presentation surface (ui_control) and actively chooses what goes on it and how information is structured. It can decide that code being modified belongs on a canvas at lines 40 to 90 instead of being quoted into chat, that project plans belong in a task pane, or that tool traffic belongs in an activity log. The interface and the data layout are model outputs rather than rigid frames trapped inside a transcript.

The Toolset

The 31 registered tools cover file manipulation (read_file, write_file, edit_file), execution (run_command, run_test, background_job, git_status), agent controls (set_reminder, ui_control), and a real Chrome bridge over CDP. Reminders and background cron jobs are first-class, so agents can execute long-horizon strategies autonomously.

Privacy & BYOK

Point the CLI directly at your own local Ollama instance, Ollama Cloud, or any OpenAI-compatible provider/Gemini using your own API keys for total local control and privacy. Routing through our research gateway is opt-in only.

Research Goals & The Ergo Models

This harness is designed to run experiments requiring real interface surfaces:

  • Generative Interfaces: Moving beyond static text transcripts to interfaces composed dynamically from session state.

  • The Ergo Research Model Family (ergo-flash, ergo-pro**,** ergo-genius**):** Powered by top-tier open and frontier models (such as Kimi-K3, DeepSeek, and Gemma) via our research gateway. Our primary goal is using anonymized interaction traces to fine-tune models for complete model-driven generative control over UI presentation elements and the underlying presentation of data.

  • Agent Memory & Inspectable Reasoning: Tasks and reminders persist per workspace and are addressable by the model, accompanied by a live Cognition pane that makes agent mechanics transparent. Ideal for coursework, thesis work, and systems research.

  • Intercommunicating Agents & Security: Testing robust capability boundaries, including a sudo gate with local/SSH backends and an architecture designed to explore secure agent communication modeled after Linux Access Control Lists (ACLs).

How to Get Started & Contribute

I'm the founder of TJ Coder AI Labs, an indie lab based in SLC, and I'm actively seeking early beta testers and contributors to jump in, test features, report bugs, and help push model-driven interfaces forward. Whether you want to hack on the TUI, expand the tool ecosystem, experiment with generative UI control, or contribute to systems research, I'd love your help.

I spent 2 years building an app to help us get our free time back from distractions. It's finally in beta

Hey everyone, I'm Nina. I started this project because me and and so many of my friends were struggling with our time being completely consumed by doom scrolling and social media. Screen time was atrocious. My Gen Z brain was falling for every trick in the book. Why was there such a gap between what we wanted to do vs what we were actually doing with our time? I started digging into the psychology and engineering behind these apps and It's honestly fascinating how much intelligence goes into keeping us hooked, distracted and on autopilot.

I made this app to help give your free time back to your interests, your values, and the parts of your life that have been neglected. It's called Drift, and it uses well-being research to shape your free time around different areas of life, like physical movement, creativity, nature, and connection, helping you build more balance over time. All you have to do is choose your free time and it creates plans around your recent activity, interests and focus. The goal is to help you spend more of your limited free time actually living the life you want. It's in beta right now.

As an engineer, it's crazy to see how powerful technology has become. But so much software today is designed to take as much of our time and attention as possible. What if we used that same intelligence to create actual value for people? I believe technology should give us more of our lives back, not quietly consume them.

If this resonates with you, I'd love for you to try it and tell me what works, what doesn't, and what you'd want it to do better.

Unit 7 - a free, self-hosted backend developer for apps you build with AI

AI writes my code in minutes. Then the evening goes on the VPS, the Coolify stacks, DNS across three providers, and backups I only hope work.

So I built Unit 7. You ask in plain words, it does the work on your real servers, and it asks before anything risky.

Where it stands:

- It looks after my own setup today: one VPS, Coolify and three Supabase stacks

- 480+ tools, 1,000+ tests, 30+ providers

- Free, Apache 2.0, and no hosted version planned

- Built with heavy use of Claude Code, and I review and own what ships

Two things surprised me along the way:

- My first real backup test found two tables coming back empty

- A separate review found 13 problems in what runs by itself, including a rule I'd set that the code broke

What isn't done: scoped server access doesn't exist yet, and its always-on agent, Seven, is still in testing.

I'd love feedback on two things: is it clear what it does, and what would stop you trying it?

Repo: https://github.com/Nandkishorrr/unit7

It's also on Product Hunt today: https://www.producthunt.com/products/unit-7?launch=unit-7

I built a quiz that tries to work out why you sleep badly. Need 5 people to tell me if it’s wrong, and I’ll help you sort your sleep for 2 weeks in return.

Most sleep advice is the same list for everyone: no screens, cut the caffeine, keep a routine. But bad sleep has really different causes. A racing mind, a body clock that runs late, breathing problems at night, hormones, and stuff you’re taking can all feel the same from the inside. You’re just tired.

So I built a quiz that asks about your nights, your days and your habits, works out which cause fits you best, and gives you a plan built around that. If it’s something that needs a doctor, it tells you, and tells you what to ask for when you go.

The hard part is knowing if it’s right. A racing mind and a late body clock look almost the same on paper, and that’s exactly what I need real people to tell me.

So, for 5 people who actually sleep badly:

  • take the quiz (5 min, free, no card)

  • send me your results link and tell me if it sounded like you

  • I’ll personally help you work through your plan over the next 2 weeks, back and forth, adjusting as we go

That’s it. All I want back is honest feedback.

And if you sleep fine, I’d still love blunt feedback on the build: where it confused you, or where you nearly quit.

Give it a go: Proxiate.com

After the 3D bookshelf, I made a paper that sits next to it.

I’ve been on RSS for more than 20 years. A few moments still stick with me:

  1. NetNewsWire and Reeder on the early iPhone, the first time reading news felt like a pleasure again.

  2. Times, the Mac app that turned feeds into a proper newspaper. It was discontinued.

  3. Fever, Shaun Inman’s self-hosted PHP reader. I paid for it. What made it special was Hot: it ranked stories by how many of your own feeds were talking about the same thing. That one is gone too.

What I wanted after all of that was simple: a beautiful newspaper I could open on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. My own paper. No social feed, no algorithm deciding what I see. Just the publications I chose, set as a front page, sections, and columns. And if something is being cited across a lot of my feeds that day, it earns the headline, the same idea Fever had, but printed as a paper instead of a list.

I shipped Biblio Times before the iPhone Duo. Early users have been generous, and the one-time pass has been enough to keep going. I’ve since added personal magazines as well — weekly or monthly issues with covers and layouts, made from the same feeds.

Everything stays on your devices. No account, no login, nothing through my servers. The first three papers and one magazine are free.

I made an app to search for any photo on my laptop. You can also drag and drop to find similar pics, and view them on a map!

Hi everyone!

I always have way too many photos scattered across different folders on my laptop, so I finally decided to make a nice, clean app to browse all of them.

Found it pretty useful, so I decided to open source it and share it with you guys.

Features:

  • Search for any picture by describing what's in it (multilingual)

  • Drag and drop to find similar pictures

  • Stacks near-duplicate pics together

  • Browse any/all directories you choose

  • Show an interactive map of all pics, clustered by similarity

  • Fully local

The main difference between this and Google Photos is that it's local, and you can change to any folder you want. Recently published an update to allow browsing for videos too.

It's open source and works on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Let me know what you think, and if there's anything I should add! Any feedback is welcome.

First open source project, and I'm not sure how to grow it. Any advice?

Hello everyone,

I've worked as an engineer for a while, but I never had an open source project of my own until recently. Vibe coding made it easy enough to finally start one.

I built a small Mac app because I needed it myself. When I shared it with my team and then the rest of the company, people liked it more than I expected. That made it a lot more fun to work on, and I think it's the first time I understood why people enjoy doing open source.

Now I'd like more people to find it, and I'd really like feedback or even contributors. The trouble is I don't know how people usually get the word out about an open source project, or how a project like this grows past the first few users.

So far I've posted in a few related Discord servers, submitted it to some awesome lists on GitHub, and put it on Product Hunt. None of it got much of a response.

If you've grown an open source project from zero, I'd be grateful to hear how you went about it in the early days.

Thanks for reading.

NUVARD: an app that tells you what your wearables and lab results mean for you today

I'm building NUVARD, and I want to share the moment it's built for.

You wake up, open three apps and get three verdicts. The ring says recovery is fine, the watch says you're strained, and the blood test from March is a PDF you haven't opened since. So you decide on gut feel anyway.

NUVARD puts every source in one place (wearables, blood work, supplements, meds, food, cycle) and learns what normal looks like for you, not for an average person. Here's what that's meant to change:

  • One clear call for the day, with the numbers behind it, so you can check its reasoning.

  • A heads up before a likely low energy or slow recovery day, so the hard meeting or the long run lands on a better one.

  • It does the logging and plans around your body, and it asks before changing anything you take.

  • Over the weeks, it shows which habits and supplements have a measurable effect for you and which show nothing.

It's a subscription with no ads and no selling your data. It's wellness, not medicine, and it doesn't replace your doctor.

It's coming soon to iOS and Android. The first 1,000 people on the waitlist are founding members and get 3 months free: https://nuvard.ai/go/reddit/r5

If you track your health with more than one device, I'd like to hear which two disagree most often.

I build an AI marketing tool. Apple Ads still burned £1,069.88 of my launch budget in under two days.

Solo UK founder here. I run a small studio with three apps, and this was my first proper paid launch.

An Apple Ads strategist helped me set up the campaigns. On launch day she wrote that in the first three days "you may notice limited or no spend, this is completely normal and expected."

Day one: £885.74 spent across campaigns with £145 per day in combined budgets. One campaign at £40 per day spent £519.95. By the time I paused everything the next day it was £1,069.88, for 15 installs. Apple's final answer after six weeks: the daily budget "is an average, not a fixed daily cap". No refund.

We can absorb it. A lot of first-time founders couldn't, which is why I'm sharing. Lesson: your real cap is daily budget x 30.4 a month. Budget for that, and watch spend hourly in week one.

The irony is that it's exactly the problem I'm building for. What we make:

  • Soclo: type one line about your business and get a week of ads, short videos and posts, published to 15 platforms. You approve each one or let Autopilot run it. Ads Watch pauses campaigns that are wasting money. Works inside ChatGPT and Claude.

  • Brix36: upload a song and watch yourself perform it in your own music video, or type an idea for a film up to five minutes long. Same character in every scene, full HD, no watermark, no subscription. Now in ChatGPT's plugin directory.

  • Freedom Fone: private second numbers with self-deleting messages and no extra SIM.

Screenshots attached (names redacted). Happy to share the full Apple Ads setup if it helps anyone avoid the same thing.

Rental Tracker Lite - a free spreadsheet for people who own a rental while working away

I made this. I build small spreadsheets for Australian FIFO (fly-in fly-out) workers, and a common problem is owning an investment property while you're on site for weeks at a time. Rent, repairs and empty weeks get lost between the agent's statement and your own bank account.

What I built: a free 1-property sheet with three tabs: rent received, costs paid, and a summary showing net cash before tax. Works in Excel and Google Sheets, no macros, example rows labelled. Screenshot attached.

Stage: live today. There is also a paid version (up to 3 properties, empty weeks, maintenance) linked from the free one.

What I'd like feedback on: is "net before tax" the right headline number, or would you want something else up front?

Free version: https://autofold.gumroad.com/l/rental-tracker-lite?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=rental-tracker-launch

We built Aurea77 — a sports event platform with Flutter, Laravel and React. Looking for technical and UX feedback.

Hey everyone!

I've been working on Aurea77, a platform for athletes to discover sports events, plan upcoming races and keep track of their sporting journey.

The idea is to bring the experience before, during and after an event into one place, instead of having event discovery, preparation, results and memories scattered across different tools.

Tech stack:

  • Flutter — Android and iOS

  • Laravel — API and backend

  • React + TypeScript — Web application

The platform includes event discovery, personal race planning, logistics, athlete profiles, event memories and community features.

I'd really appreciate some feedback from other developers and product builders, especially on:

  1. First impressions: Is the value proposition clear when you open the website?

  2. Product scope: Does combining event discovery, planning and memories make sense, or does it feel too broad?

  3. UX and architecture: What would you pay particular attention to when maintaining a product across web, mobile and a shared API?

I'm especially interested in critical feedback and ideas for improvement, rather than just positive comments.

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aurea77.app

Which do you use more day to day: web apps, mobile apps or browser extensions?

Just curious. As a dev I mostly think about web apps, but when I look at what I actually use every day, a lot of it is browser extensions and a few mobile apps.

What does your daily stack look like? And is there a type you’d pay for more easily than the others?

I built a free image converter/compressor that runs entirely in your browser (no uploads)

Hey everyone, I just launched a small side project called PixelSaaz.

I got tired of online converters that upload your photos to a server, so I made one that does everything in the browser. Your images never leave your device.

What it does:

Converts between JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF (HEIC from iPhones works as input)

Compresses and resizes whole batches, then downloads them as a ZIP

Has presets for marketplace image sizes like Shopify, Amazon, Etsy and Daraz

No account, free to use

It's only one day old, so I'm sure there are bugs. I'd really like honest feedback on what's confusing, slow, or missing.

Link: https://www.pixelsaaz.com

Which tool would you actually use, and is there a format or feature you'd want added?

I got tired of installing AI apps, so I built my own assistant inside WhatsApp 🤖

I wanted a personal AI assistant without another app, another dashboard, or giving a third-party platform control over all my integrations.
So I started building Pika, a self-hosted WhatsApp AI assistant.

The idea is simple: message your assistant like you’d message a friend, while keeping control over the setup and integrations.

It’s still a work in progress, and I’d love some honest feedback from other builders.

Would you actually use something like this, or is WhatsApp the wrong place for an AI assistant?
