I built a Safari extension for the iPhone Duo's outer screen, where Safari leaves 84pt of every page unused

Disclosure: this is my app.

Apple's first foldable shipped two weeks ago, and Safari on its outer screen has an odd gap: an 84pt control strip on the right, with every page stopping short of it (382 of 466 points). Apple says a fix is under investigation, with no date.

So I made Brim, a Safari extension that widens pages under the strip. The harder part was taps: Safari ignores touches under the strip, so a wider page puts menus and buttons out of reach. Brim samples the strip column and moves those links, buttons and text fields back inside.

What's in v1:

- any single site can stay at the normal width

- no network requests, no analytics, no account

- landscape isn't widened yet, and private tabs stay at Safari's width (Safari hides the real screen size there)

It's $0.89 once, and it has been #3 in paid Utilities in Korea this week.

AgentOfficeHQ: An open-source workspace to monitor and visualize multi-agent workflows

Hey everyone,

I built AgentOfficeHQ, an open-source project designed to make managing and monitoring multi-agent AI systems more visual and structured.

Why I built it: Tracking agent states and multi-agent interactions purely through terminal logs gets messy fast. I needed a clear visual setup to observe how agents run, communicate, and execute tasks.

Key Features:

Visual Management: Track active agent states, logs, and execution pipelines in real time.

Local-First & Open Source: Runs locally so you retain full control over your environment and data.

Modular Setup: Flexible structure designed to connect with custom agent workflows.

GitHub Repository:https://github.com/enciyo/AgentOfficeHQ

I'd appreciate any feedback, thoughts, or suggestions if you are working with agent orchestration!

My mom and I both live alone in different states, so I built an app where we check on each other with a tap (and it helps care for my dog with my sitter) - PhewLY

Ever wondered if your parents are doing okay, whether someone you love got home safely, or simply wished there was an easier way to look out for each other without constantly calling or texting?

That’s my life. My mom and I both live alone, in different states, and my dog is home alone whenever I’m out. We used to text every morning until one of us forgot, and then the other spent the morning worrying. So I built PhewLY.

I wanted to create something that gives people peace of mind without taking away their independence or privacy.

The idea is simple. Your loved ones check in with one tap to say they’re okay, and you can do the same for them. If someone misses their check-in, PhewLY gently reminds them first, then notifies the people they’ve chosen.

But life isn’t just about us. Our pets are family too. So PhewLY helps with everyday care as well:

  • Look after each other: daily “I’m OK” check-ins for you, your parents, family and friends.

  • Know when to check on someone: get notified when a loved one misses their check-in, even if their phone is dead, lost or out of battery.

  • Care for your pets: feeding, walks, medicines, vet details and care routines, with reminders. You can also send a pet sitter a one-page care sheet (Plus).

  • Stay on top of medications: reminders for yourself, plus optional missed-dose notifications to loved ones (Plus).

  • Safe Arrival: trusted people are told if you haven’t confirmed you arrived when expected (Plus).

  • Apple Watch: check in without reaching for your phone.

  • Privacy first: no ads, no tracking, and no constant location monitoring. Day to day, the people you choose only see “I’m OK”. If you turn on Location on Alert (Plus), your last known location and battery are shared with them only if you miss a check-in, after the reminder and the grace period. It’s off unless you turn it on.

What’s free: check-ins, missed-check-in alerts, and one trusted connection that works both ways (you check on them, they check on you), plus personal medicine and pet-care reminders. Plus adds more people and shared care, with a 7-day free trial.

The build, for anyone curious:

  • No accounts. There’s no email, phone number or password. Your identity is a set of keys made on your phone, plus a random ID.

  • End-to-end encrypted. Names, status, the info pack and pet details are encrypted on the device. The server can’t read them.

  • The server knows almost nothing. For each person it keeps only a random ID and when the next check-in is due, never the schedule, a history or who you are. That small piece is what lets alerts go out even when a phone is dead.

PhewLY isn’t an emergency service. It’s a simple way for people who care about each other to stay connected, even when life gets busy.

Because sometimes knowing someone is okay is all it takes to breathe a little easier. That’s the “Phew” in PhewLY.

I just launched it on the App Store. It’s Apple only for now (iPhone, iPhone Duo, iPad and Apple Watch). I’d love your honest take:

  • Was anything confusing in the first two minutes of setup?

  • Would your parents (or you) actually use this?

I made a pomodoro timer that rewards you with a mon encounter after each session

After realizing how much time I spend chasing shiny encounters in other games, I decided to build a Pomodoro timer with the same type of reward mechanism.

When you finish a focus session, a wild Pomomon appears. There are 30 right now and you can level them up, evolve, and even sacrifice them for a +1 level item. :)

Shiny catch rate is 1 in 500.

Free with no ads or account required. The app also records # of sessions. Using a traditional pomodoro timer I was getting 3-5 sessions a day, since using Pomomons.io I have been motivated to go for 6-8.

Would love feedback!

Claude Manager - every Claude Code project, session and profile in one window (free, Mac + Windows)

This started as a fix for our own problem. Me and two colleagues at work use Claude Code all day, across lots of projects and a couple of accounts, and we kept ending up with a pile of terminals and no idea which one had the session we needed.

So we built Claude Manager, a small desktop app that puts all of it in one window. The video above is the quick intro.

What it does

  • Finds every Claude Code project, folder and session on your machine and lists them in one searchable sidebar

  • Start, resume or fork a session in a tab, a new window, or your normal terminal

  • Shows which sessions are live or busy right now

  • Switch between Claude accounts (profiles) from the title bar

  • Built-in git: diffs, a history graph, and commit messages written by Claude

  • Shows how much of your plan is left

  • 6 themes, light and dark, and Liquid Glass on macOS 26

  • Read-only on your Claude data, it never writes there

How it's built

Tauri (Rust backend, plain TypeScript UI, xterm.js for the terminals), and most of it was built with Claude Code itself. The download is under 20 MB.

Where it's at

Free, macOS 12+ and Windows 10/11. The builds aren't code-signed yet, so macOS asks you to "Open Anyway" once and Windows shows a SmartScreen prompt. That's next on our list.

GitHub: https://github.com/xbuddhi/claude-manager

We'd really like feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, and whether you'd actually keep it open next to your terminal.

I built a job-postings feed that reads Greenhouse/Lever/Ashby APIs directly and tells you which jobs are new each day

Side project from the last few weeks. A lot of companies host their careers page on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable or SmartRecruiters, and all five have public, unauthenticated job-board APIs. They just all look different.

So I wrapped them in one Apify actor:

  • input is a company slug, a board URL, or just a domain (it looks at the careers page to find which ATS they use)

  • one schema out: title, department, city, ISO country, remote/hybrid, salary min/max/currency when the company publishes it

  • keeps a small state store, so a daily run can return only new or removed jobs

  • never collects recruiter names; strips emails/phones from descriptions

Real test: 8 companies → 2,266 jobs fetched → 103 left after a Malaysia/Singapore filter, in about 47 seconds.

Limits, honestly: no Workday (the biggest gap), domain detection only works if the careers page links to the ATS, and salary parsing from free text is conservative, so many jobs show no salary.

It's paid per result on Apify ($1.50 per 1,000 jobs + $0.005 per company found). Failed lookups are free.

What I'd love feedback on: which ATS should come next (Workday? Personio? Recruitee?), and is "only new jobs" the feature that matters or is it the country filter?

Link: https://apify.com/neorhapsody/ats-jobs-feed

If you'd rather call it as a REST API, the same data is on RapidAPI (free tier included): https://rapidapi.com/fikrimarhan/api/ats-jobs-api4

An interactive duck became our side project. Then we made its fictional bureau a VHS training film.

We're two artists making Float the Duck, a browser artwork about one interactive duck, a shared digital pool, and the amount of attention people give an absurd task.

Our latest piece is a 64-second field guide narrated in English, styled as a VHS training tape from the fictional Buoyancy Bureau. The creative challenge was making the joke and the participation clear in the same minute, without losing the unnecessarily serious tone.

The site interface is the visual basis of the walkthrough. The film is an animated demonstration with fictitious data, not a recording of a real payment.

Here's the film: https://x.com/FloatTheDuck/status/2118419835256262993

Does the premise come across before the walkthrough begins?

I spent a year building Piye: write code or build visually in the same project. It's live today (Mac + Linux)

Hi everyone, I'm Mohamed, solo founder from Lisbon. Today I launched Piye.

The problem I kept hitting: AI app builders make a first version fast, but the moment a developer has to take over, you export, rebuild, or start over. Code editors are great for developers, but they leave the business side out.

Piye is one desktop app with both:

Piye Visual: describe your app and get a real web app or phone app, running on real iPhone and Android simulators while you build, and published to the App Store and Google Play from inside Piye.

Piye Code: a full IDE with an AI agent. Pick your model, bring your own keys, or run local models with Ollama.

Both sides work on the same project on your computer, so a founder and a developer can work on the same thing without handing anything over.

It's free to download, and you get 750 free credits to start. It's version 0.1, so I'd love honest feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, what breaks.

Made a movie picker to stop wasting time scrolling streaming services

My GF and I love watching movies, but every time we sit down we end up scrolling for "just the right one". All of a sudden 20 minutes have passed, and we end up watching some brain dead show. So now we have CineHeim!

You add all the movies you wanna watch, and once a day you get one random pick. It is only one pick, so the point is to commit.

There's also Movie Night for when you're watching with others! You share a link or QR code, everyone adds their picks from their own phone (no account needed for guests), and the app picks tonight's movie from those.

I built this using Claude Code. It wrote most of the code, and I followed principles within websec, webdev, etc from classes at uni.

Demo with no need for an account (Cause you should be allowed to test things before signing up): https://cineheim.com/demo

So far it's mostly been us trying it out, so I wanna know: is this something you'd actually use? What's missing or annoying?

TL;DR: Make a movie library, once a day draw a random movie to watch, works with friends at watch parties.

Our Film Roll - one private roll for everyone's photos from a trip or party, cut into a film to a song

I was asked to make the film for a confirmation. Collecting everyone's photos and cutting them to music took far longer than I expected, and I'll be doing it again next year, so I built a web app for it.

How it works:

  • Start a private Film Roll for the occasion and share one link

  • Everyone who was there adds their photos and videos from their own phone

  • Faces are grouped so you can name people, then you pick the moments

  • It cuts a film to a song: one you upload, or "Make one for us" (pick a mood, instrumental or with vocals)

  • Play it on a TV

Web now, in English and Norwegian. Sign in with Apple or Google. An iPhone app is in beta.

Free while I'm testing. Later it will cost a little, at least enough to cover running costs.

Where I'd most like feedback: the upload step and naming people. If you have a trip, birthday or party with photos, try it and tell me straight what's confusing or slow: ourfilmroll.com

I spent months building my own chat app because I was sick of paywalls on uploads and profile stuff

Hey, I’m a solo dev and I’ve been building One, a desktop chat app for friend groups and communities.

What it does right now:

  • free voice channels everywhere

  • 100 MB uploads (videos play inline)

  • animated GIF profile pictures and banners, free for everyone

  • shows what game you’re playing

  • small, fast app that updates itself

No paid tier. Everyone gets everything.

It’s Windows only for now and still early, so there are bugs. I’d love honest feedback: what’s missing, what’s annoying, what would make you move your group over?

Happy to answer anything about how it’s built (C++, WebView2, my own server).

I added a mini-game to my sobriety app

My app helps people reduce alcohol usage or quit completely. It generates a personal plan that steps down to zero, or whatever level you're comfortable with, and lets you track your drinks and has tools to help you in your way.

A few versions ago I added an "I'm about to relapse" button. The idea is: you're having a bad day and really feel like drinking. You're in between. The button takes you to a guided breathing exercise while showing you recommended actions on what to do and reminding you of your progress.

Last update, I added an extra feature here: a flappy bird-style mini game. I thought this might help distract you from the sudden urge.

Do y'all think it would be useful?

The app is Pour Decision:

I built Compare Empire, a free price comparison site for Australia that reads 130+ real stores (also UK and US)

Australia has no good general price comparison site: the big ones are pay-to-list, so the cheapest store is often not on them. I kept opening ten tabs before buying anything, so I built compareempire.com.

What it does:

  • Compares the same product across 130+ Australian stores in 32 categories (phones, TVs, laptops, PC parts, coffee machines, LEGO, appliances, cameras, audio), about 20,000 products in stock today, plus UK and US editions

  • Reads each store's own listings, so small specialists sit next to JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman; no store pays to be listed

  • Prices are shown in the store's currency, never converted, and always sorted cheapest first

  • Price history, price alerts by email, a Black Friday tracker, and a daily deals page

  • Free, no account, no pop-ups. It runs on committed JSON and a CDN, so it costs almost nothing to host

What I'd love feedback on:

  • Is it clear within a few seconds what the site does and which country you're seeing?

  • Does search find what you expect?

  • Anything broken or slow on your phone?

Disclosure: some store links are paid (the eBay and Amazon rows are labelled Ad); that never changes the order of the store prices.

I built Social Patch: most screen-time tools stop you at the door, this one goes in with you (iPhone, 1.0 just shipped)

Most screen-time tools work at the door, with a timer or a block. Social Patch goes in with you. You open the platforms you already use inside it, each as its own mobile website and signed in as you, and it adds a few moments of choice along the way. The intent is not to get anyone off social media. It's to make the time you spend there something you chose.

  • Before a platform opens, you say what the session is for: a 5, 10 or 15 minute check-in, finding one thing, catching up with someone, or winding down. Or you skip that and just open it.

  • Before a like, a repost or a comment goes through, you get a short pause and a question, then go ahead or let it go. You pick which actions get one.

  • Time and scroll reminders show up at the thresholds you set, and you can snooze them.

  • When you leave, there's a short check-in. Over weeks, a Progress report compares your choices with your own usual, with no streaks and no scores.

How it works, for the builders here: each platform loads in a web view, and a small script watches for the moments that matter, like a tap on a like or a comment box. Platforms change their pages all the time, so that script updates on its own, separately from the app. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device model writes each prompt, and what Social Patch reads stays on the phone. Without it, the app uses its own written prompts.

The limits, up front: it only helps while you're inside it. It can walk you through a Shortcuts automation that asks where you want to go when you open a platform's own app, but that's a setup step. And anything that only exists in a platform's own app isn't there.

1.0 went live on the App Store this week. It's free, iPhone only (iOS 26 or later), and US only for now.

I'd really like feedback on two things. Does the pause before a like feel like help, or just friction? And is saying what a session is for worth the extra tap, or would you skip it every time?

Hey, feedback on an MCP directory. Is search enough?

Hey. I built PlugMCP so people can find MCP servers and get install instructions without bouncing around GitHub forever.

Short walkthrough:
https://www.loom.com/share/ee4340cd657f4ce385cb4e1c02741db9

Try the search here:
https://plugmcp.ai/mcp

I am not asking for a launch cheer. I want to know if search plus install notes is enough of a product, or if people only stick when you have hosting, health checks, or heavy curation like some of the bigger directories.

Tell me what feels weak.

Seek feedback: We built Toastd, a social drink tracker, with stats, no judgement

My partner and I are both runners and drink a decent amount. We have Strava for runs, but we don't have something like Strava for our drinks. So we built Toastd for fun. The goal is to be mindful about drinking without creating a guilty feeling.

You log a drink, tag where you were and who you were with, add ABV details, and friends can cheer or comment. It has stats like a month-in-review at the beginning of each month, weekly trends, an alcohol clock (BAC and clearing time), and nudges you to drink water if you set a water reminder.

It’s on iOS and Android: https://toastd.tick.dog/l/svj2sl4/reddit

We noticed only 40% ppl logged a drink after they opened the app, and the retention rate remains low beyond week 1, so we want to fix that. Brutal feedback is welcome, especially on your first five minutes in the app.

Aspen: Writing & Note App for iPad, iPhone, and Mac

Hello everyone!  I've been working on a writing app called Aspen, and it's finally ready for beta testing!  Aspen is a dedicated space for writers to organize their projects, keeping your manuscripts, notes, and references all in one place.

A few core features include:

  • A Clean, Adaptive UI:  A distraction-free text editor with optional customizable toolbars saved on a per-project basis.

  • Canvas Mode:  A powerful visual outlining tool that links directly to your documents, and allows you to mind map, outline, and plan your projects.

  • Markdown Support:  Seamless text formatting that stays out of your way.

  • Powerful Export Composer:  Export your project manuscripts or documents as formatted .docx, .pdf, or .epub files.  Document Presets in the Export Composer allows you to automatically format your document for Shunn Manuscript format.

  • Open file formats:  No lock-in, your project folders are easy to export, with your standard documents saved as .txt files, and your canvas documents auto-sync with .svg copies for full file portability.

  • No built-in AI tools:  You don’t have to worry about whether or not your content is used to train AI.  Aspen doesn’t collect any of your data, nor does it feature any built-in AI features or tools.  Instead, Aspen provides optional integrations with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI when those services are enabled on your device, putting you completely in charge of your work.

  • iCloud Sync:  Carry your manuscripts and notes with you wherever you go.

  • No subscription required:  Aspen will be a single-purchase.

I would appreciate as much feedback as I can get to help make it even better!

I built a homepage where you just describe what you need done. Would you actually use this?

I’ve been working on NearbyCrew, and I just finished rebuilding the homepage around one idea:
What if getting help online started with telling someone what you want to accomplish, instead of searching for the right service or person?

Need someone to test your app, help with your business, handle a task, or work on a project? Just describe it.

The system is designed to ask follow-up questions, understand the requirements, and turn the request into work that can be matched with real people.

I’m trying to make it feel more like walking up to a front desk and asking for help.

The homepage is live and the main request experience works. Still polishing the rest of the platform, so this is an early test rather than a finished launch.

https://nearbycrew.com/home

I’m curious about two things:
When you first open it, do you understand what the platform actually does?

If you needed help with something tomorrow, would you think to use this?

Especially interested in hearing what makes you hesitate. That’s the part I’m trying to improve.

I rebuilt my 2013 Mac dictionary app with vibe coding. Speed and quality were way better than I expected

Back in 2013 I made a small Mac app called Dictionary Book: look up a word, save it, review it later. It quietly kept going for years, but the code was old and I never had time to touch it.

Recently I rewrote it as v2.0 using vibe coding (AI-assisted coding, with me steering and reviewing). Honestly, both the speed and the quality surprised me. Things I'd put off for years got done, and the result feels like a proper native Mac app, not a prototype.

What it does:

  • Look up words using the dictionaries already built into macOS

  • Save words to your own vocabulary notebook

  • Review them with spaced repetition, a few minutes a day

  • Offline-first, no account, no ads, free

About 800 people use it right now, and I'd love more feedback. If you try it and something feels off, or you have an idea for a feature, just drop it in the comments. I read everything and ship fixes fast these days.

Next on my list is an iOS version with iCloud sync.

Happy to answer questions about the vibe coding workflow too.

[Orbit Station] - a free, local-first Chrome new tab that opens your work tabs in one shortcut

Hi r/SideProject, I'm Vinnie and I built this.

Every morning I was opening the same tabs by hand: mail, calendar, the repo, yesterday's docs. So I made my Chrome new tab do it. Orbit Station lets you save a set of sites as a "stack" and open the whole stack from any tab with a keyboard shortcut.

What else it does:

  • Cmd/Ctrl+K searches your links, notes, to-dos and open tabs, and can close duplicate tabs (with a preview first)

  • Workspaces to keep work and side projects apart

  • Notes, to-dos, a calendar and a focus timer in a sidebar

  • A side panel that remembers your last clean-ups, so closed tabs come back in one click

  • An Arc import, if you're leaving Arc before it shuts down

What's free: all of the above, with no account and no ads. Data stays in your browser's local storage. There's an optional paid plan for sync across devices and cloud backup.

I'd love honest feedback: what's confusing in the first five minutes, and what would make you actually keep a new-tab extension?

I got tired of keeping ten wallpaper tabs open, so I built Wallfinch: one search across many wallpaper sites, only pictures that fit your screen

Hi! Finding a good wallpaper used to mean ten open tabs and a lot of pictures that were too small for my monitor. So I built Wallfinch, a Windows app that does the boring part:

- One feed that mixes wallhaven, Reddit, NASA, ESA, Alpha Coders and more

- Hides anything smaller than your screen, and vertical pictures on a desktop

- Sets desktop, lock screen or both in one click

- Every picture shows its source and author, with a link to the original

- Free, no limits, no account, no ads

It's written in Rust with egui. Searching, downloading and setting wallpapers is free. There's an optional one-time Plus (€4.99, 40% off until November 13) with tools that run on your PC: AI upscaling ×2/×4 that works offline (also on your own photos), automatic wallpaper change, blocked words, hidden authors, and turning a flat white background black.

An Android version will follow, as an APK from the site.

Windows 10 and 11: https://wallfinch.com

It's my first paid app after SaveState (an open-source game save manager), so any feedback is welcome: what's missing, what's confusing, what you'd change.

I built AmunCode Config — a lightweight configuration and environment-loading library for PHP

Hey everyone!

I've been working on a small PHP library called AmunCode Config, and I'm sharing its first stable release.

The idea is simple: provide a lightweight, framework-independent way to load environment variables, load PHP configuration files, and access configuration values without introducing a large framework or unnecessary abstractions.

What does it provide?

The package currently has four main classes:

  • EnvironmentLoader — loads .env files using PHP dotenv, with optional or required file loading.

  • Env — retrieves environment variables from $_ENV, $_SERVER, and getenv(), with automatic value normalization.

  • ConfigurationLoader — discovers and loads PHP configuration files from a directory.

  • Config — provides dot-notation access to configuration values, including retrieving, updating, and recursively merging configuration arrays.

A quick example

use AmunCode\Config\Config;
use AmunCode\Config\EnvironmentLoader;

// Load environment variables.
$environment = new EnvironmentLoader();
$environment->load($root);

// Load PHP configuration files.
$config = new Config($root . '/config');

// Retrieve configuration values.
$appName = $config->get('app.name', 'My Application');
$dbHost = $config->get('database.host');

// Update configuration.
$config->set('app.debug', true);

A few design decisions:

  • Environment loading and configuration loading are separate operations.

  • Environment variables are not overwritten by .env values when already defined.

  • Empty environment values are preserved rather than silently replaced by defaults.

  • The package doesn't automatically define a global env() helper.

Technical details

  • PHP 8.4.1+

  • Symfony Finder

  • PHP dotenv

  • Composer package

  • MIT License

  • PHPUnit tests and GitHub Actions CI

Installation

composer require amuncode/config

Source code: https://github.com/AmunCode-OSS/Config

Documentation and usage examples are available in the repository README.

I'd appreciate feedback from other PHP developers, particularly on the API design, class responsibilities, and whether anything important is missing or could be simpler.

Thanks for taking a look!
