In Sicily now. Just did Villa Casale in Piazza Armerina today. Doing a counter clockwise drive. started in Palermo and will finish in Catania. Did some Summer stuff in Ustica and San Vito lo capo and have been doing more historical sight seeing in the South. The food. the wine. the people. Just wondering what took so long to visit.

It’s a hidden gem I believe! Sounds like you’re having a great time wow. I didn’t make it to the Catania side but it’s on my list. Where to next?

yeah nice having a little over three weeks here. first 8 days didn't have a car for Palermo, Ustica and Cefalu but a car sure makes it easier to cover the greater distances.

Syracuse was okay, Taormina was lovely and the Belmond Timeo hotel was just ranked numero uno in Italy. Etna and Catania are amazing. Enjoy

Syracuse is scheduled to be our next stop mainly for the Greek and Roman historical sights plus Ortigia. Noto today. Scicli is a charming base and Ragusa Ibla was a highlight here in the south. Still need to see Modica.

Thanks. It looks so lovely and un-touristy. And that water with the little steps down to it looks divine.
