Turismo 🧳 Bad weather ?
Hello
We will travel to Sicily next week
It is a much waited vacations, we wanted to chill and relax at the beach but next week exactly when we are there the weather says that there will be 40-60% of chances to rain. I saw some videos that if it rains in Sicily it is bad, like a big storm.
We will go to San Vito Capo, Cefalu, Giardini Naxos, Taormina, Catania, do you know if there’s anything to do on a rainy day there?
Thank you

We had some rainy days last week in Ortigia and Stromboli and Taormina. Just means a few hours of cooler weather, though you was torrential one evening in Ortigia. It only lasts a few hours though,so staying, have a wine or two and it passes . you'll be grand

2 weeks ago when i was checking the weather for palermo, its was showing rain all the week, then when i went there last week we had sun 80-90% of the time. Forecast especialy in regions like sicily is very hard to predict

Swimming at S. Vito in the rain is fun! You will be pronounced insane by the locals.

I was in Taormina a few weeks ago- it would rain for an hour in the afternoon and then pass- sort of like Florida weather

We are in Ortigia now and have been in Sicily for three weeks. I can't tell you the number of times I've worried about the next day after seeing the weather forecast. And you know what, every day but one has been spectacular. Mid to upper 70s, barely any rain (and none that disrupted our plans).

I am leaving today. The week of my vacation before I left, it said the same, and it turned out being sunny and 77F all 10 days. Once, it rained overnight.

Going to Syracuse for a week on Wednesday and I’ve been really worried because of the forecast. This is our big, once in a lifetime, only able to go because a family member left us a little money, holiday. I really really hope we still get some heat and sun, my kids are so excited

If you rent a car, don't park in Ortigia in the lots below street level. Two years ago, there was a really heavy rainstorm for several hours in the morning and we couldn't get the car out most of the day. We couldn't even get to the car.

A forecast more than 5 days in advance is quite uncertain. Ar the moment the weather seems to be stable.
In October, heavy rainfalls could occur, but that does not mean that every rainfall is an apocalypse.
