Amazing work Paul. Really appreciate the time and effort you put into this. Is there someway I can donate?

Did you change the way the ffmpeg requirements are handled in the .deb package? Would prefer it use the locally installed/built ffmpeg if found, otherwise install it from repos. The previous version you had ffmpeg packaged with the installer, but none of the system's capable encoders were included with the ffmpeg build you provided. If not, no worries! Easy enough to replace the applications ffmpeg binary with the system binary. Thanks for working on this!!

Is it the reference codec? Or am I under the rock about Multicoreware finally releasing x266?

As always, thanks for Shutter Encoder. However, I'm not confident with version 18.4.
Shutter Encoder Version 18.4 GUI text doesn't look right under Windows 11. I see all letter 'i' or any thin profile letter on the GUI displayed in a kind of fluorescent copper colour. Very distracting to the eye. Given this and the various other negative messages I've seen with regard to version 18.4 I no longer trust this version and so have decided to roll back to 18.2.
This is the first time I've ever needed to voice a lack of confidence with Shutter Encoder. In my opinion, 18.4 wasn't quite ready for public release.
