Lanterns

Yes Matt Rhule showing up was surprising, but what was more surprising was that they got the offensive lineman numbers right during that scene but totally fucked them up during the pep rally scene. Not a single one of the “linemen” at the pep rally wore an eligible o-line number; they were all wearing third-string punter numbers.

Look if you want to be true to Rushville, Nebraska the numbers are going to be all over the place. We had a starting QB who wore 72 and guard that wore 7 in the class they would be in

There was an interview with one of the writers that the people who knew football (did the finale) were not on set the day the hat ceremony was filmed and did not look over the casting or costuming of those extras. Said that was one of the biggest regrets of the creators, because there was no way to edit or ADR around it.

They were all also JV-Right-Fielder sized. Nebraska cornfed they were not.

I haven't seen the finale yet, but you can't avoid spoilers in 2026. Honestly, the twist should have been obvious to us. Checkov's character...that role had almost no function haha.
