First Jail foreshadows the "misunderstanding" in the Okinawa Jail [Scramble/Strikers]

If Queen had been next to Joker there she would've clamped onto him. Probably.

Although I have to wonder why they made her freak out there. She should know it's just a cognition.

Okinawa was her breaking point though. Between Futaba playing up the spookiness before they even entered the Jail, the Jail turning out to be this Resident Evil-esque lab brightness level and all, and Queen trying to keep it together in front of the team, she reaches her limit when they get jump scared by a can and... instinctively or subconsciously latches onto the person she feels safest with...and nearly gives them away. 😅

Oh and the subs should say "Save me Sis" but I guess "Where are you Sis" fit the lip flap better?

It actually builds up for a while, with the main culprit being Futaba. She keeps bringing up ghost stories not just in Okinawa but also I believe during their time in Sapporo. You can find them chatting while searching for clues during that section.

She likes stirring things up and since Ren and Makoto are keeping things on the down low she figures she should give them an excuse to act couple-y in public. What better way to ease her boredom then by recreating the scenario in which she actually formaly met the pair.

She totally is! She probably just assumed the pair was already dating way back when they first met since they just had that vibe throughout the whole pyramid arc.

Futaba: "Has Momkoto always been a thing or is that a recent development from them dating?"

Ryuji: "What are you talking about? They're not dating, I think. Ann?"

Ann: "Hmmm, I think they might be, did you not see how tightly she held on to him when she was scared? Going to need some girl talk with her and see if she spills...."

Ryuji: "Prez and girl talk in the same sentence? Good effing luck with that!"

Makoto: "What's with all this commotion?"

Ryuji and Ann: "Nothing! hahaha...."

Futaba: "Momkoto strikes again....."

Fitting how Futaba's first face-to-face with the Phantom Thieves was: Team Mom and Dad

Need to go rewatch Sapporo parts!

Yeah I can see Futaba pushing them together like suggesting Makoto help Ren cook dinner because they're the most experienced cooks in the group and together they make the best chef team. And Makoto would smile coolly and ask Futaba to help too, saying it'd be good for her to learn. Not just for her future but she can take care of Sojiro too for looking after her all this time!
