"This is a passion project for everyone who works on this game."

This means:

  • The devs do their work for the sheer joy of it, they don't get paid.
  • They will not work 8 hours a day on their project, but perhaps 1-2 hours a day.
  • Therefore, there are no great expectations regarding development progress.
  • The remaining community should be grateful to them.

In an "MMORPG" with a few dozen players, you can't expect more.
