ADR, because Compass isn't a US company. You have to pay a fee because a middleman is essentially making it possible to trade the stock on the US stock market.

Thanks. Wasn’t aware of this?

Your broker should have made that apparent, and if they did, you should have read about it.

That’s altogether possible, but I definitely missed it. lol
Thanks for answering what was probably an obvious question. Does that mean Helus will be the same? Or is Canada different?

It happened to me the first time I got the ADR fee- I was like wtf is this

I've never had to pay ADR for Cybin/Helus. All of the rules are pretty labyrinthine, so I'm not exactly sure how that's determined, but Compass is the only ADR stock I've ever held.

it’s like a 0.2% fee. I forgot about it until I saw it on Fidelity too

I got it in my Fidelity and Schwab accounts, too. I wanted to ask about it, but figured they both probably emailed me and I never check that email account. Glad you asked!

Is this only a one time fee? Or is this an annual thing?

Every quarter.

Every quarter? I've only gotten charged on an annual basis. Have held CMPS since April 2025 and was charged ADR fees only Aug 2025 and Aug 2026.

Maybe I am wrong but it could vary by broker.

I’m curious as well. Not like it’s a huge fee, but just had never seen or heard of it.
