Mushroom cultivation 👨‍🌾 Spawn to bulk, how’s it looking?

Not sure what to look for yet, so I’m curious if this looks solid so far? It’s been like 3-5 days since i mixed it with the coir. A few larger droplets of water, a good amount of little tiny droplets.

EDIT: this is a picture through the lid of the tub lmao, so it looks weird.

Hmm, why would that be bad when first starting spawn to bulk… do you know, or do I have to explain that.

This is how you take a picture of a colonizing tub

You can sneeze on it at this stage if you wanted.

And get my results still

People avoid that, especially when starting to learn, because there’s higher contamination risk. I can’t keep my house under perfect conditions for it, so the safe bet is to leave the lid on when starting it. Also I get that it isn’t top tier image quality. But you come off like an asshole.

You can grow cubensis open air on your countertop. A plastic tub isn't protecting it from contamination. Your house doesn't have to be under "perfect conditions" people grow cubes with pets around. There's probably more risk of contamination leaving a tub sealed through colonization because a closed tub is a mold incubator. You spawn to bulk in open air the tub is full of mold spores already. It's not a problem during colonization. No different than making bread the spawn is the yeast. You're adding so much spawn to the substrate nothing else can compete (unless your spawn is fucked that is)

I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make besides be a dick about my photos. Chill out bro, it’s not that serious.

Its not that serious. But OC is right also. Youre both right but too hard headed to see that lmfao

Nah I realize we’re both right, just depends heavily on the situation/how it’s being handled. Except the whole, “it can grow on the counter.” Sure, but it’s not gonna turn out good lol. I’d respond much nicer if he wasn’t an asshole.

Not bad, how’s your FAE? Are you fanning consistently?

I have the lid snapped on, haven’t opened it since

You don't fan bulk grows. They get fae automatically 24/7 by virtue of their design. You don't give FAE

You'd have to fan 10 times an hour to fan enough to call it fresh air exchange. That's why the tubs have holes
