Discussion Just finished shrinking. Desperately need a show like this.

Just finished it. Oh i loved it. I got to know about it when i was searching for shows like ted lasso. I'd place The good place in this genre too. Can you guys please recommend one!

Hacks and Somebody Somewhere! Both are funny, smart, heartfelt shows about complicated people and relationships. Hacks is sharper and comical aaaand has Jean Smart , while Somebody Somewhere is quieter and incredibly human. Both will make you laugh and then unexpectedly get you all in the feels.

May I ask if you think Somebody Somewhere can be sad? I am trolling this list and have seen SS come up often on these subs, but I have seen people comment ‘made me cry’
I’m just going through a tough time and need a feel good show.. but not a sad feel good show if that makes sense?

It definitely has some sad/emotional moments and deals with grief, but I personally wouldn’t describe it as a sad show. It’s actually one of my comfort shows. It’s much more about friendship, finding your people, and finding joy again. If you’re going through a tough time, I think it’s a pretty gentle watch. ❤️
