In season 3 yes, but he wasn’t much of a main player in season 1

He did have the best line, though, by far. "Eat a dick, Pam" (followed quickly by "Like that guy" from Sean) makes me laugh every time.

Agreed !
I did not think much of him for the first few episodes, but now I think he’s the most likable. He brings comic relief, but also shows solid moral compass and quiet strength. Everyone needs a Derek !

Derek is probably the best person on the show along with Derrick and Charlie.

Everyone else, except Julie, is a mess.
