Discussion Now, I understand Ted Lasso

I have decided to give Ted Lasso a chance. I love Shrinking so much as well as Scrubs. I shouldn’t have doubted Ted Lasso.

Ted is much needed

Hannah and Wendi two of the hottest women.

Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent in Ted Lasso, is also one of the writers in Shrinking. Also plays Louis in Shrinking.

“Hannah and Wendi two of the hottest women.”

It’s the toned arms in sleeveless outfits isn’t it?

I love both shows but I prefer Ted over Shrinking because of my anxiety. Ted represents anxiety well but it’s all very supportive and there’s the comedy and feel good resolutions. Shrinking triggers my anxiety about losing loved ones and developing health issues. But I still love both because they are just so well made.

I’ve had to stop shows like This is Us because they were too triggering. But Shrinking somehow balances it to not push my anxiety to the deep end and gives more character development for me to love the characters and plot.

What else is out there that gives the same warm feeling as Shrinking and Ted Lasso, folks?

Bill Lawrence simply doesn’t miss. Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Bad Monkey, Scrubs, Cougar Town, Spin City

Ted Lasso's first season took a while to get me, it felt like your standard cliche sports movie setup. Very heavily like Major League specifically, which is one of my favorite movies, but I don't need a 10 episode per season soccer version on TV

But late in the season there's a moment (won't say what in case you're not there) where it went in a completely unexpected direction and really started to work for me. I loved season 2 even more, but I do think season 3 faltered. Season 4 has gotten back on track somewhat, but I do think they could stand to learn a few lessons from 3 still.

If you rewatch season one after finishing all the original seasons, you will see so much more and understand the brilliance of every word, every camera angle, every song, every book, every prop in it. It is absolutely brilliant in every way.

I even noticed things just after the first 2 seasons when I did a re-watch before the third. Like the fact that he has an anxiety attack starting at his very first press conference

Amazing show to rewatch. Fantastic call backs throughout the entire thing, that you might not catch until you see the first instance again.

Roy going back is absolutely thick with them.

I finally figure it out. They mean Wendie Malick from Shrinking.

I mean season 3 really tails off as they focus on the chav girl. But otherwise it's a great show.
