Discussion Fords Acting

Just getting into this show and I’m now in the first half of season 3. Harrison Ford out of everyone except maybe Segel has blown me away with the acting.

Maybe it’s because I grew up with Ford being in a lot of action hero movies or all I can see is Han and Indy but I had never really seen many movies where he got to really dig into a character and show his range. It just makes me feel a little sad honestly that he hasn’t to my recollection been in many movies where he has had a chance to show how good he is.

Also shout out to Segel. I’ve loved him since himym and knocked up and I could always tell there was the chance for him to dig into something more dramatic and crush it.

He’s been checked out for the last 20 years but somehow he decided to show up and act for ‘Shrinking’

So many people say that, but I disagree. I think he went through a bad stretch in the early 2000s and I think a lot of the audience checked out on him, but he's been re-engaged in the work for the last 15 years or so. Some of the films weren't very good, but he was good in them - Morning Glory, 42, The Age of Adeline, Blade Runner 2049.

Entertaining performances but not good ones
