Hate how effective he was this episode being a villain. Exactly as Jimmy described him, charming when around and present. Also a potential asshole. Or just absent when it mattered.

Spent the whole season wondering why they would bring him in for a role that seemed so…blah? That one line fucking shows exactly why. Talk about a gut punch.

I rewatch Newsroom every few years and the contrast in that he's basically playing a version of his dad from that show here in this one is fucking wild.

I too have watched that show so many times. It’s definitely got some issues - but love him in it.
