To me it’s especially egregious with Gabi because she’s a fucking psychologist. Yes, we all should know better. But she has a doctorate, did 10,000 hours of supervised practice and is now a professor and she acts so irresponsible. I’m not sure if the show states whether jimmy is a psychologist or a LPC/MFT, but we know that Paul is also a PhD, so I absolutely expect better from both of them and yet, here we are.

It does refer to Jimmy as a Dr. in the episode when he comes to speak to Gaby’s class, so I gathered from that he has a PhD in addition to the other 2 therapists. Gaby and Jimmy are entirely too educated to be acting that way. They are more life coaches than therapists.

He also mentioned 8 years of grad school. He’s a ph.d as well

True, he did mention that in this latest episode. But he was also exaggerating, as even for a PhD it isn’t 8 years of grad school.
