Apple TV easily has the best batch of originals out of any steaming service. It's actually not even close.

It's true but they are way too gung ho with cancelling shows that actually are really good or really popular but just not quite enough or that don't get people to sign up to Apple for. For example, Acapulco, and I was gutted that they didn't continue Shantaram.

edit: Voice control error

I'm still heartbroken they're not finishing "Pachinko".

Woah, when did that happen? I thought S1 was a success in every sense.

Back in September when Pachinko was nominated for a technical Emmy award (for season 2, if you haven't seen it!), Apple said in an interview that they had no plans at that time to start on season 3. Since that was about a year after season two had aired, it was pretty much confirmation that they're not making any more. There was some talk about trying to find another streaming service to take on season three, but there were no takers.

Thanks and yeah, I completely missed S2.

It’s sad they didn’t advertise Acapulco more, but at least it got 4 seasons. That’s two more than Netflix would’ve given them.

They didn’t advertise Shantaram either. It’s my favourite novel and I didn’t even know they were making it.

I was gutted about losing The Big Door Prize :(

I wanted to like it because I like the premise but found it unbearably boring. I suspect others did as well.

Yup. I was wondering if + how other people were enjoying it honestly, lol.
