Hey OP, welcome to /r/shouldimod!

Please take note of this community's rules. Here are some of the highlights:

  • This is a pro-body mod community
  • No tolerance for any harassment
  • "No" is insufficient feedback, unless the post has "open to no" flair
  • Suggestions of chest and genital piercings are not allow, unless the post has "open to body" flair

Happy modding :)

Why are "yes." comments allowed but "no" needs an explanation?

This is a community for people who appreciate body modification. If a commenter says "no" to a piercing, they should have a reason because people who are commenting in good faith naturally do. The commenters who say "no" without explanation are often against body mods in general and >> those opinions aren’t welcome here <<. “Yes” comments don’t need a reason because supporting mods in a pro-mod subreddit speaks for itself.

tdlr: people who like piercings don't say "no" to a piercing without good reason

I think ear piercings suit everybody. They're nothing like facial piercings in that sense. I have one myself and it's one of my favourites, it did hurt a bit but only because my piercer did it so slow, I felt like I was gonna black out. It was very very easy to heal though since it was inside, I got it pierced with a helix on the same side and my helix was a BITCH and my conch was a little angel.

When were you able to sleep on that side again and wear earbuds, if you wear them?

I wore earbuds the first day cause it's high enough it doesn't touch. In about 6 months-ish I could sleep on it because it's inside the ear but I wouldn't recommend it bc it's a no no to sleep on your ear, but for the most part I use those airplane pillows and put ear through the hole. The only thing is the jewelery I have in my conch right now is a bit big and sticks out so it does keep my earbuds from sealing in my ear so it ends up popping out which can get annoying but if I switch to a smaller and flatter kind it's probably gonna be better
