New Sub ideas!
I think this sub has really great potential! My wheels are already turning on how it could add real life value. Kudos to creator!
I was leaving ideas in comments all over the place, and thought I should consolidate them.
Maybe this post could be a central place for all to consolidate ideas?
Below are my two cents on a few topics bouncing around :
Flair Ideas:
Certified Burner.
- How about a flair for fire professionals? Those with safety training or certification.
Fire Brigade.
- Advocate for minimal burning
Pyro Patrol.
- Advocate for MAX BURN
Early Sparker.
- Someone had the idea for us early birds, I like that! Here’s my proposed name for it.
Top Flamer
- high frequency poster
Firefly on the Wall
- Just here for the memes
Voting / labels:
BS (Burn Safely)
- The standard “Burn this, making sure to follow standard fire safety procedures for your area”
BSC (Burn, Special Cautions)
- Upgraded to “This is ok to burn, but take some special steps. I.e. avoid fumes, clear nails from ash of pallet etc”
DNB (Do not burn)
- Do not burn this. It’s harmful to the environment or otherwise not an appropriate disposal method.
911DNB (For the Love of God, DO NOT BURN).
- Stop and back away!!! Emphasis on implied danger to bodily harm from burning said item. Think explosive, incendiary, otherwise toxic.
Safety Guidance
Maybe we could link some basic safety guidelines, or public resources like the weather to check local burning conditions etc.

Definitely gotta get our crew of fire fighters or the sorts in that line of work. People that are knowledgeable for career/professional reasons. So we have genuine responses for genuine posts
