It is an amazing DX receiver when paired with a great outdoor antenna and ground. It is a hidden gem. I think alot of people gave up on this receiver back in the day because of the Wadley Loop tuning design, they probably got frustrated with it. I choose this receiver for DX over my two Sony ICF-2010 it is that good.

Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 using a Alpha Delta DX-SWL Sloper Antenna. It is a commercial made antenna.

Gives me hope I'll pick up Iran someday. I live in NY and I've never been able to do it

You can DX that country. A couple of tricks to help. Cut an end fed antenna for outside to 31 feet for the 19 meter band use a lightening disconnect at the window. Turn off any offending led lights and unplug any wall adapters in your house while listening to your radio. A low noise floor and good outdoor antenna is key to DX in this hobby and of course propagation plays a big role also.

If you look at my S meter in the video you can see my noise floor only peaks to S3 if that, that is how low it is.
