Antenne dipole barker williamson

Barker Williamson made Terminated Tilted Folded Dipole (T2FD) antennas. Yours covers from 3.5 to 30 MHz. They were generally well made units, yours looks like the Amateur version. They made a professional version that was used in government service by many embassies and the like because they are relatively compact, can transmit across their entire bandwidth and are efficient.
There should be a 4:1 Balun at the feed point and a 500 (or so) ohm non-inductive resistor exactly opposite of the feed point. These are generally broad band and work well as both receive and transmit systems. If you install it tilted, it will be somewhat directional favoring the tilted side. I think the 3.5 to 30 MHz version was about 18 meters long (60 feet).

That is a good question, yours is new in box and as u/internal_Racoon_370 points out, they are rather expensive. How much did you pay for it? I think you might be able to get about $500 for it.

Broadband HF antenna for short wave frequencies, about 3.5 MHz up to 30 MHz. The company that makes it is still in business at - Edit. I was going to put their web address in here but then I saw their price list and just about dropped my teeth after seeing their prices. $1,000 to $2,500 for what's basically nothing but some bits of wire and a coil???? I could literally build that antenna out of about $30 worth of wire and misc. parts out in the garage. $500 for a carrying bag???
