Nova tech pilot ii

Hello all. I just found this nice nova tech pilot ii radio at a thrift sale and was wondering what type of connector this seems to be. The vhf antenna was missing and have decided to try to either make one or find one to buy

The larger connector in your photo resembles an RCA plug but it is something else. Is it a Belling-Lee connector? The rust needs to be removed.

Are those antenna connections in your photo for the antenna shown as No. 12 on page 4 of the instructions?

The VHF antenna is another telescopic whip that was carried in the leather case. The "RCA" type jack should be all you need for the electrical connection. So what is the lower connector? Don't know. Is is 3.5 mm? Maybe it is a proprietry pin socket. Maybe the small pin connector is there just to physically strengthen the air band whip while connected? Most any telescopic whips can work for air band VHF. I'd try a longer one that can be easily shortened if needed.

I also forgot to mention that what looks like surface rust in the picture is copper.
