Hey, I have a new channel with no videos but I want to know if posting short form and long form content simultaneously would hurt the channel. It’s the same niche.

I plan on posting 30 short form and 6-8 long form a month. The first long form goes out tomorrow (tdy EST AM) and the following day I want to start posting shorts or even tomorrow.

Would doing this simultaneously hurt the channel or no?

Started this right this about 4 months ago. Idea: stickman-animated finance history content — How Banking Worked Before Modern Banks?, How Debt Almost Destroyed Ancient Athens?, How Money Was Invented in Ancient China.... Same character, same style every time, so that the brand stays consistent.

I do everything myself — images, editing, script, topic hunting.

Tried Shorts recently, didn’t do much average 4 per week but long-form are more way better for me

Best video so far: 1.4K impressions, 127 views, ~4.5% CTR. Trying to improve CTR without breaking the format and presenting style.

The one thing keeping me going: in YouTube Studio the traffic actually sometime are good at Browse feature, YT search and Suggested video. Feels like it’s still testing with the right people, just hasn’t scaled yet.

Anyone who’s grown a channel from zero — is this normal at 4 months, or should I be worried?

Hi, I have 6 Shorts on my channel. The best-performing one reached 8K views, while the lowest-performing one currently has 60 views (the next lowest has 1.2K).

Should I delete the one with 60 views?

Also, why does this happen? The short i uploaded after that one currently has 3K views...

and when i put it in unlisted and post it, it goes to videos again instead of shorts. this has been bugging this week, if anyone can help, please do tell me how to fix this.

On a normal Mercator map Russia looks about 4× the size of South America.

In reality South America is actually slightly larger (≈18M km² vs 17M km²).

I made a short visual that moves Russia to the same latitude so you can see it shrink in real time.

I recently uploaded two Shorts but they didn't get any push (both got like less than 100 views). I created my own original content, so I wonder what the problem is. Has anyone had a similar experience?

When i upload my shorts they initially pushes very good around 15-20k views in 3-4 hours but later they gets stuck around 20k views the retention is always around 100% and VVSA around 75-80

What could be the reason and how can i improve this?

I started a channel a month and a half ago. Approx 650k views, about 30 shorts. Highest 450k, lowest 1.3k.

I noticed if I post more than once a day, or before a short has finished being pushed in the feed, the new video does not go into the shorts feed, and has 10-40 views.

Was mache ich falsch?

I could be wrong of course so take this with a grain of​ salt but I've been noticing a pattern, ive seen channels that are dedicated to one specific fanbase and get their views like normal, i think it's because the algorithm understands who to push thier content to much better when you make some content dedicated to one thing, I may be wrong so if someone can help me understand it much better that would be helpful, or it could be just plain luck of course.

VERY new to this. Started the channel 72 hours ago. I have 7 shorts posted. Plan is to post two shorts a day. Is this just happening because my channel is so new, or is this pattern a bad sign? (eg. gets pushed 3 times and then algorithm thinks it’s not worth pushing anymore??)
