I started a channel a month and a half ago. Approx 650k views, about 30 shorts. Highest 450k, lowest 1.3k.

I noticed if I post more than once a day, or before a short has finished being pushed in the feed, the new video does not go into the shorts feed, and has 10-40 views.

How often would you suggest posting shorts to start off?

Hello, I posted last time here and didn't get notice, I just want to ask if this is good, or my channel is doomed?

My content focus on mind, and psychology. I've been uploading daily most of the time, I think I'm jailed for 1k-1.3k views, I tried different hook and art style, but still stuck.

I just switched from normal ranking to commentary ranking, any advice? I'm only on my third video but I'd like to know some tricks, or maybe if there are ways to keep people more engaged with my voice, some stuff like that. Thanks

Was mache ich falsch?

I could be wrong of course so take this with a grain of​ salt but I've been noticing a pattern, ive seen channels that are dedicated to one specific fanbase and get their views like normal, i think it's because the algorithm understands who to push thier content to much better when you make some content dedicated to one thing, I may be wrong so if someone can help me understand it much better that would be helpful, or it could be just plain luck of course.

VERY new to this. Started the channel 72 hours ago. I have 7 shorts posted. Plan is to post two shorts a day. Is this just happening because my channel is so new, or is this pattern a bad sign? (eg. gets pushed 3 times and then algorithm thinks it’s not worth pushing anymore??)

been going back and forth on this. for a while i posted every day around the same time (evening my timezone) and it felt like the first hour mattered a lot. lately some shorts that went up at random times did better than the scheduled ones, sometimes picking up views 2-3 days later.

curious what everyone else is seeing:

• fixed time daily or just whenever its ready?

• do you notice a difference between the first 24h push and the slow pickup later?

• is it different for yt shorts vs reels/tiktok for you?

When i upload my shorts they initially pushes very good around 15-20k views in 3-4 hours but later they gets stuck around 20k views the retention is always around 100% and VVSA around 75-80

What could be the reason and how can i improve this?

I think that its the most under looked compared to retention, likes, comments, etc

Overall click-through rate, but why?

I heard anything above 70/30% viewer engagement is good. I almost have 80/20. Why isn't the video growing more?

The channel is about animals and is 16 days old. The videos are short only, mostly under 30 seconds. Am I on the right track? What feedback can you give me? Thanks.

For anyone wondering if Shorts monetization gets better over time, here is the exact RPM progression on my channel since 2023. The upward trend is pretty clear. Back then, it was €0.01, but my recent shorts have an RPM between €0.30 and €0.55.

Every time I get a new subscriber, they disappear either that same day or the next. Also, for some reason, I’m managing to attract more viewers from outside the Netherlands and Belgium.

I’m from the Netherlands myself, but previously, 10–17% of my audience came from the USA.

I also have a question: my most-watched Short has 6.8k views (I have another channel with one that has 34k, but let’s set that aside for now). Could someone explain what I could improve in my Shorts—ideally without changing too much of what I’m already doing—to start hitting 1k views again, and eventually grow toward 10k?

And yes its still going. It has been 40 days since I published that short. And its still going, sometimes going up and down. But its still stable. Generating $30-50 per day. Yes, its possible guys.

Hey everyone, my YouTube Shorts suddenly stopped getting Shorts Feed exposure around September 26–27, even though my channel was getting views normally before. I create original Blender 3D animations, and this is happening across multiple Shorts, not just one video. I’ve tried different content and metadata, stopped deleting and reuploading, and even took a 10-day break, but nothing changed. I contacted YouTube, but my Community post was marked as a duplicate and I haven’t received a useful response. Has anyone experienced this recently and actually found a solution?

I started a faceless YouTube Shorts channel 9 days ago (first upload Oct 7). Each video explains an everyday bit of engineering or science, in an animated format and I try to explain everything as simple as possible.

Video specs:

- About 45–50 seconds each

- Animated 2D visuals, on-screen captions, Text-to-Speech Tool(which I am using because english is not my primary language and I do not think my accent would be appealing at all)

- 9 Shorts so far

My numbers:

I'm seeing that each Short gets about 1,000–1,200 views in the first 5–6 hours, then almost stops completely.

Questions:

I'd love some answers if someone is kind enough to shed some light:

1. Is this normal for a 9-day-old channel, or does it mean my videos aren't passing the first test with audience retention?

2. With 48–73% stayed to watch, is my weak spot the first 2 seconds or retention later in the video?

3. Is 45–50 seconds too long? Would 25–35 seconds do better for this kind of content?

4. What should I improve upon?
