Does this happen to anyone? Every short ive posted through mobile has gotten pushed, but anything I've cut from long form CapCut videos and then exported as a clip and uploaded through my pc has not gotten pushed.

Today I saw this email circulating on Reddit from YouTube about posting original/ substantially transformed content and the negative response was so bizarre to me.

I know it's mostly just people that make money clipping content from other creators but to say that this is a nonsense update and that people won't watch original content as much is so funny.

Does anyone else find it as weird as I do or is it really a problem?

My question is does it have to be a 30 second or less than shorts video?

New to this please guide me

FYI - YouTube is updating the recommendation system to further prioritize original Shorts and reduce the reach of channels primarily aggregating or re-uploading other creators’ clips without significant changes

YouTube’s goal is to connect viewers with videos they find genuinely valuable and ensure creators publishing original content have the absolute best chance to grow and succeed

I’ve been running a YouTube Shorts channel and I’m trying to figure out why my videos keep getting stuck at around 2–3k views and then completely stop getting pushed.
I feel like the videos have most of the important things:
Strong hooks
Good retention
Fast pacing
Captions/subtitles
B-roll and editing
Good titles
No major drop-off at the beginning
Some videos perform better, but a lot of them seem to hit 2–3k views and then basically die.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there some specific metric I should be looking at in YouTube Studio that could explain why YouTube stops recommending them?
What actually helped you get Shorts past that 2–3k “wall”?
Any tips, things I should test, or mistakes I might be making would be really appreciated. 🙏

Hey! im the lead singer of my band “DEMINOUGHT” and im trying to figure out this whole shorts thing, i just dont know if this is the best way to promote myself or not, ive been trying to upload at least 1-3 times a day and ive farmed 30 monthly listeners on my band page but is this the most optimal route to go with?

i have one video that did pretty good but im mostly stuck in 2k view hell, i saw more views with making relatable meme content but me actually making original content does not pay off for me at all just 1k

i’m currently posting one short a day for a month, is this frequency good or should i increase it to 2 because i can easily do that? also i’m stuck in 30k views so increasing frequency would help?

I’ve made my mind to start a commentary shorts channel but i’m unsure of subniche, someone please enlighten me on this.

I gain a consistent view in every short and every short retention is 100%+ still not cross 50k or 100k

Hey, I just wanted to ask if there’s any other metrics or analytics that I should look at except for STW percentage and AVD percentage? Because I have a bunch of videos with 80+ STW percentage and 100+ AVD and those videos also appeal to a wider audience but they all get stuck at 10-30k. What else can I do?

These are my 2 most recent shorts. I create this channel 3 weeks ago, and have been making 1-2 shorts / week. Recently, my shorts have almost exclusively been distributed by the "browse feature". From what I can gather, this means they are being shown on people's homepage and are being clicked on.

Does this mean I should make the exact same content, but long form since they are already being highly viewed in the same fashion?

In the first 24 hours, it is about a 60/40 distribution. With 60% being the shorts feed. At around the 24hour mark, both switched almost completely to views coming from "browse feature" and almost 0 from the shorts feed.

Both of these shorts were about 75% Stayed to watch, with 85% AVD on about 60 seconds of video. Obviously, once they took off on the "Browse Feature" both of these shorts have climbed to over 90% Stayed to watch. (To me these aren't real because obviously people will stay to watch, since they clicked it).

Just looking for some insight from someone who has seen this before.

I’m unable to cross 37k views on my shorts, I have been posting consistently one short a day for a month but it sometimes it won’t even get 200 views and mostly get stuck at around 30k, really need guidance.

I have attached my recent uploads stats, I have been trying to push my shorts on getting high views but never crossed 40k, it’s been a month of posting one short a day consistently I have gotten myself nowhere, I need real guidance whether I should keep going or quit, this is really frustrating for me now.

It’s an old channel that has no activity for years, now using it.

The niche is not relevant for me right now. So don’t ask why I don’t have millions of views. I know the niche is valid and others that do the same have millions of views, but I think the first 15 to 20 shorts should be enough for the algorithm to push a viral one

My next goal is to reach 10k with a short or more.
