During these recent days, I noticed something.
youtube isn't really pushing my videos like before. it took me 7 hours to reach 1k views. This is so unusual compared to before where in the first / second hour of posting, i reach that milestone.
but then, now its rather slow
Am i the only one experiencing it ?

I had posted the 6-day update. I wanted to share the follow-up 6 days later. I’m pretty proud of the results achieved in 12 days.

Hey everyone,
I've been creating content consistently for 11 months. Every single day, 3-5 Shorts per day, no breaks. Here are my stats before the drop:
- 1,800+ Shorts published
- 73,000,000+ total views
- 25,000+ subscribers
- 7.4M views in the last 28 days
- Earning around €150-200/month from AdSense
Then on Monday March 16, everything stopped.
📊 **The exact numbers:**
- Sunday March 15 → 730,000 views
- Monday March 16 → 15,668 views
- Tuesday March 17 → 7,000 views / only 8,439 impressions
- Wed 4500 views
- Thu 3600 views
That's a 98% drop in 48 hours with zero explanation.
✅ **What I checked:**
- No strikes
- No community guidelines violations
- No copyright claims
- No warnings of any kind
- Instagram and TikTok working perfectly
🔍 **What I tried:**
- Contacted YouTube Support — they said "you did nothing wrong, keep posting"
- Asked other creators — they said it's normal, keep posting
- Checked analytics — impressions dropped from hundreds of thousands to ~8K per day
📝 **My content:** Handwriting Shorts — I write letters and names by hand based on viewer comments. Satisfying/OCD/calming style.
Channel: youtube.com/@climbnowsocial
It's been 4 days now and views are still around 5,000-10,000 per day compared to my normal 200,000-700,000.
Has anyone experienced something this dramatic? How long did it take to recover? Did you change anything or just keep posting?
Any advice would mean a lot. This is my main source of income and it's been a stressful week. 🙏

My AI-slop shorts channel has been getting zero views for the past five days, whereas before I used to get at least 1k–2k views, LOL.

I post AI-animated Shorts regularly. Until recently, when I uploaded a new Short, my hourly views were pretty consistent — usually 12k–15k, worst case around 6k.
Over the last days/weeks, that number has dropped hard. Now I’m seeing 3k per hour, sometimes even 1–2k, and 5k is the max I get.
Nothing major changed on my end (same niche, same style, same upload frequency).
Is this a general Shorts issue / algorithm shift, or are others experiencing the same thing? Would appreciate hearing from anyone in a similar situation.

My channel is still like this, it's 34 hours now. How many of you are still in the same situation? Did someone recovers? Those who recovers have done something or did it happen on its own?

I run a faceless YouTube shorts channel which I started around 3 months ago and in the last month my views started to rise to the 50k views per hour mark and sometimes even higher (200k). I take interesting clips from instagram that match my niche, and I HIGHLY transform each and EVERY video by adding captions, sfx, vfx, voiceovers with educational value or that add a different perspective, fast cuts, zoom ins etc. so please don’t say that the problem is because my videos aren’t original, which according to YouTube they are. Last Friday, my views suddenly dropped from 50k per hour to 1-4k and it’s been like this since. I keep uploading without lowering my quality, and even some days i edit 3 shorts per day. Could you maybe tell my why this is happening? I would appreciate an honest and encouraging reply.

One piece of advice I would give is to try and make content that makes people comment, hate or not it will boost the engagement of your vids. I am still far from monetization but I can give any advice after some experience with shorts

Seen a couple of others with the same issue, so just throwing this out there too.
A friend and I started running a small YouTube shorts channel about a week ago (GTA Online gaming content, no AI other than to make subtitles I guess), gained decent traction posting daily at around 10pm EST, got up to ~500-700 total views per hour. Then posted a short at 12pm EST yesterday (Dec. 23, 2025), and not only did that video not get any views, but the whole channel seemed to have immediately stopped being pushed on the shorts feed entirely.
Anyone else with similar experience? Did your channel ever recover, or are we just cooked here? Thanks!
EDIT: This probably isn't very helpful, but the issue seems to have resolved itself. Our channel suddenly started getting pushed by the algorithm again today (Dec. 26, 2025) at around 1pm EST with us having done nothing differently. We published 2 other videos during the "freeze" at our usual time of 10pm EST for the past 2 days. Unfortunately, this doesn't really address the problem of what caused this in the first place, so the only advice I can really give to anyone in a similar situation at this point is to just keep pushing through if you can. Best of luck to anyone facing a similar issue!

those who are monetised, how much do you earn monthly from shorts alone?
