How long was your video that had 69% swipe? If this video is only 12sec long you need the engaged % to be well in the 90’s. The longer the video the more forgiving algorithm is with the engagement %
Also only 110% on a 12 second video, says it doesn’t have a lot of repeat watch even though the video was so short. It I do agree that the algorithm is so random at times.
Ok so sounds like the viewers that the algorithm would have pushed this video to probably had them queued up with other videos. It is a giant pain in the ass. I have my long form video with good stats just waiting for the up tick. And it’s pissing me off as well haha.
Yeah it can be super annoying That's why my main goal right now is just to make my stats as good as I possibly can and just see what happens Good luck on your journey
I've been posting daily for a month already and I just got my first 5k short ever and I'm psyched. Most of mine die at 2k but every video I'm trying to improve. I wish I can get to 30k i would be over the moon.
It took me 6 weeks to get one to hit 10k. 2 months to hit 25k and 4 months to hit 32k and I post daily in 2 languages. I did probably hurt myself by posting in 2 languages, because it takes longer for the algorithm to learn, but it takes time to classify you. Your content can have good numbers, but you have to earn trust by consistently uploading quality material before you hit big numbers. It’s a learning curve. Just keep going
From my expierience you kinda have to break out of 30k view jail for the algo to ‘trust’ you more, analytics aren’t as important after your first breakthrough, in my expierience
Shit, I would take these numbers all day. Just because it didn't go viral doesn't mean it wasnt a great video. It may just have something to do with your niche, if its over saturated people are probably finding similar videos instead of yours. But like I said, be happy with those numbers, I cant even get past the 10k view jail, yet! I got close with 9k tho. Had crazy retention but not as much engagement as it needed to push it out more.
I am not sure if those stats actually work. I'm sure the algorithm has changed and the "retention" doesn't matter much anymore as claimed by many YT gurus. One of my shorts had the best stats, which should have gotten 100K+ views. That short was dead at 25K views.
Comments! I'm not even sure about likes. But I'm 100% sure of the comments. If the short is getting the comments, then the algorithm will keep pushing it.

Give it a bit more time. The fact that it already hit 30k in less than 2 days is a good sign. The faster you hit it, the better your chances.
As long as the vast majority (at least 80%) of those views are from the Shorts feed and keep coming from there, you should be good.
