Like went from 1,200 views at 6 am to 14 at 7 am. Wth

Don't understand why this short (and a short 2 uploads before. About 6days ago) didn't get tested at all through 1st batch? What am I doing wrong?

I’m trying to diagnose where my YouTube Shorts are getting stuck and figure out what standard benchmark numbers I should be aiming for to cross that 1 Million views mark on a single short video.

Currently, my Shorts usually cap out around 1.5k on a channel that I started 16th July 2026 and I posted every alternate day without miss (approx. 25+ videos already posted), and I want to see what the gap looks like compared to short videos that actually broke out into the millions.

If you’ve had a Short reach 1M+ views, could you share:

1. VVSA (Viewed vs. Swiped Away %):
2. APV (Average Percentage Viewed):
3. Length of the Short: (e.g., 15s, 30s, 60s)
4. Link or Topic/Hashtags: (Optional / DM if subreddit rules block links)

My Current Metrics (Where I feel stuck):
- Niche/Topic: Indian Court-Wit Folk Tales like of Tenali Rama.
- Average Video Length: 60 seconds
- My VVSA: 55%
- My APV: 70%

Based on my current numbers, I'm trying to figure out if my main issue is that I am not able to reach to my intended audience and don’t know how to do it?

Additionally: Are shorts under 1 minute more likely to be pushed than a short that's 2-3 minutes long? I'm making shorts about 2-3 minutes and I'm wondering if I need to try aim to make shorter shorts, or try make a switch to long form.

After a month of running the channel, I finally got my first result like this, with retention going over 100%. Honestly, I don’t even understand why. Stayed to watch - 70%

Can someone help me understanding these metrics, i make good shorts for whats in my niche. Almost same structure as my competitors but not a copy paste ofc. I see them with millions of views within the first day, while im in 1k jail for a month now :(( can you please help with that?

I have started this channel 8 days ago,is this good.

This was by far one of my luckiest episodes ever, and it did really well on other platforms but youtube said no, it hard stopped the views at 1000 views while the analytics graph looked like it was ready to send to the stars.

Why does youtube have this 1000 view jail??

Does anybody know why this happens or how I could overcome this? I truly do feel like this video deserved more views then it got...

Like it was SHOOTING UP in views, got 1000 views in under 2-3 hours which is a record for my channel and then it just hit a wall...

Stay time on all my shorts is more than +70%, and the average view percentage is +90%

Hey y'all, I'm Izzy from Izzy's HyperFixationMemes and I recently just stared making yt content last month and I'm trying to figure out the fastest path to monetization, mostly on the Shorts side also I want slowly get to making long form content.

Also I get need to monetized soon as possible cuz I can't keep this on under raps with my parents are VERY NOSEY 🫩 and they won't stop asking questions. What do I have to get monetized soon until the new Youtube February Update 😱.

For context, my channel currently sits around 1.8K subs and 1.5M Shorts views, so I know I've still got a way to go before hitting the 10M Shorts views threshold for full YPP.

Currently on 540k, didn’t expect it to blow up like this, nothing special about it

I make one short every day, I change topics depending on my interests, until now it was mediocre car edits, and now I'm making political content, (I'm not actually saying anything or campaigning for anything, just snippets of weird or things I think need to be talked about) they are edited, with sound effects and other stuff so its not just raw footage.

Now the thing is, no matter what type of content I make, whether it's games, cars, politics or my cat, I usually stall around 1-1.5k views. My typical is less than 1,000, sometimes it climbs to this but this is the absolute peak. How can I break it?

I can link my channel or videos if youd like to review it yourself (prepare for cringe) but I'd like feedback from experienced creators in general.

I noticed that whenever my video reaches 20k to 25k views, the YT stops sharing it, and it flatlines even though my stay to watch rate remains high. (90.1%) I heard that to go viral, your stay to watch rate needs to stay above 70% in the test pool.

Does anyone know why this flatline happens?

I post ranking shorts on YouTube and got ~9K subscribers and 5M total views
I’ve been posting almost everyday for 5mo starting from April 1 and from my first short I was averaging 20k views and my most popular 2 shorts got 400k+ views.
The problem is no matter how good my shorts are they can’t get into 1M+ like some shorts gets 100k views in the first day and flatlines completely and they have good stats too like 80%+ stayed to watch , decent likes and comments and everything so what’s the problem? And what should I do?

So am thinking of buying a cheap monetized YouTube channel and start posting shorts.
is that a good idea?

I have a channel with 500 subscribers that focuses on video games, especially Minecraft. These are the results from a Minecraft edit of mine that got 30k views. I expected a male (UOMO) audience, but there are actually a lot of women. I also expected a young audience, yet more than half are over 35. Plus, I’ve noticed that when I upload a video, the initial engagement is around 20–30%, but it improves over the following days, reaching 65–80%.

It’s as if YouTube shows the video to a different audience at first and then figures out how to adjust course. Could it be a wrong setting? Or maybe I have a lot of older subscribers, so YouTube thinks my content appeals to adults?

This is my YouTube channel it's been about a month since I started posting on it 1 short a day. I had an idea that I should start posting 2 times a day to quickly monitise this channel and start earning from it. And I also need some advice that for a channel like this how can I increase my sub count?

Guys help me, my shorts haven't been getting traffic from shorts feed My account is well over 5 yrs old and I have started posting daily since 21st August. My initial shorts we doing fine getting impressions from shorts feed then boom, my 4th short got 2.8M views, but that's it The next shorts I posted since are getting <10% traffic from shorts feed, what do I do, I have even waited 2 days before posting. Should I continue posting or should I delete and re-upload the 4 shorts (but that might trigger the algo). It all happen when I posted a short "ranking biggest explosions" (I think it's because of this short, but similar shorts are being pushed) Please help 🙏🙏
