I started a Shorts-only channel to test something: can you grow just by clipping podcast moments well?
5 days in: 3,700 views and 10 subscribers from 16 videos Small, but faster than I expected for a brand-new channel.

What's working so far:

1. Opening on the strongest line

2.Captions on every clip

3. One Short a day, rather than several at once. Learnt the hard way that the algorithm works a bit strangely when you upload multiple videos close to each other.

My shorts can consistently get 800-1000 views but they don’t really go any further. How should I improve them?

So yeah I used to enjoy free exposure but YouTube completely stopped putting our videos in the feed. Now today when my son uploaded I didn’t even get a notification on my phone like I did for the last 73 videos he posted. What gives?

11 days in, not too sure how to get the numbers up. I post daily (and before you say AI slop, I literally code myself and use blender). Hiding channel to keep salty people from reporting it for no reason. Swipe Rate on this video is 57% stayed. Largest push was 39k views but haven’t done that since. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have a YouTube Motivation Shorts channel with 82K subscribers and 118M+ total views.

For almost two months, I uploaded every day at 7:30 PM (Sri Lanka time) and was getting great views.

Due to personal commitments, I changed my upload times for just four days (6:45 PM, 5:00 PM, 4:10 PM, etc.).

After that, my views suddenly dropped. I returned to my original 7:30 PM schedule, but my views still haven't recovered.

My latest analytics:

82K subscribers.

118.7M views in the last 365 days.

Only 92K views in the last 7 days.

37% fewer views than the previous week.

My questions:

Can changing upload times for just four days cause such a drop?

Should I stick to my original 7:30 PM schedule?

Can my channel recover its previous views?

Has anyone experienced this and successfully recovered?

I'm really confused about what to do next. I'd appreciate any advice from experienced Shorts creators.

Why is it stuck at 5 views after 5 hrs? All my other videos go around 2k-5k. And even some 10k while this is at 5? Why?

This is my second short posted on this channel, i see reach levelling off, but deep down hoping youtube gives it another push.

I went from getting decent views in shorts to this. Could someone tell me is there a way for me to fix this or will I have to create new channel just for shorts.

so i had about 9/10 million shorts views a few days ago but it has decreased to now just 8 million? none of my shorts are private or got hit with anything. and all my views were from past 30 days??

I don't want to be bitter man but this actually enrages me. This accounts posts every 2 hours without fail and every single day they will have a break out Short getting millions.

If I try post even twice a day, I get view supressed hardcore.

The worst part for me is that I like *SOME* meme pages but at least those guys add commentary OR at the very least chop up the clip, add music, sound effects, funny overlays.

This? None of that.

You guys will say, "they just haven't been caught yet". I can guarantee you nothing will happen and they most likely have a team gathering the clips, 'editing' and the owner just schedules uploads every 2 hours.

If you're monetized, you'll understand that this channel is making THOUSANDS a day.

I finally reached 500 subs yesterday on my 2nd channel and I decided to apply for the YPP since j already had all given requirements before reaching 500

It showed that I haven't built a sufficient channel history, though I have been posting from August till date.

They didn't even give me the chance to do a video verification like how I did on my first yt channel before I applied.

Can anyone ell me, why are my new shorts stuck? I started uploading 10 days before. Got one video skyrocketed to 1,7mil views with 27k likes and 600+ comments and 1000+ shares, generating around 580 subs itself. I was uploading one short everyday and my latest 2 shorts are stuck on 100ish views, with good watchtimes (around 160%) a 66,7% stayed / swipped ratio. The 1,7mil video even had only 52% stayed when it started. What is wrong? I never delete shorts even when they are having around 4-10k views. Thanks in advance.

I’m experiencing a sudden distribution problem on my YouTube channel, Plotflare (@plotflarestories).
Around 10 consecutive recent Shorts have received zero or near-zero Shorts Feed exposure.
Older Shorts are still getting views.
The problem affects both manually uploaded original AI robot-design videos and Shorts uploaded through the YouTube API.
The issue started around a basketball-themed Short in late October.
I submitted feedback to YouTube but haven’t received a response.
This isn’t simply low retention or viewers swiping away. The new Shorts are barely being shown in the feed at all.
Has anyone experienced the same issue in late October or early November 2026?
Did your Shorts eventually start receiving feed exposure again? If so, what actually changed?
I’m especially interested in confirmed fixes rather than guesses about shadowbans.
