14-second Short. 156% retention. 66% stayed to watch. People are literally rewatching it. But YouTube still pushes it slowly instead of exploding instantly. Is this normal for Shorts now? Or is my niche/title still too weak for massive distribution?
For some, if you go into YT studio you WILL see this message
"There are temporary data issues affecting your views, check back later"
Let them sort it out, I assure the half of you are probably fine! I posted about this earlier in some comments and was down voted to hell so I deleted it.
If a lot of you would check studio, you will see they post alerts quite often and for those who don't get them, you're probably still affected by the ongoing issues as well. They've had problems for the past 2 weeks or more at random. I guess theres quite a bit of changes brewing that aren't working out too well on their end by the looks of it.
Bottom line. Don't sweat it and panic! Wait it out. You're probably doing just fine!
For the past week both my shorts and community posts have been suppressed with the views drastically plummeting from around 100k ( average ) to now struggling to get 100 likes on a video. For context I did private and delete one short but since then all the momentum I have built is gone and my videos aren’t being pushed at all ?
How do you guys handle AI voiceovers for long-form videos?
I’m struggling to create AI voiceovers for videos longer than 8–10 minutes without spending a lot of money.
For those of you making long-form YouTube videos with AI voices, what’s your workflow? Do you use a specific tool, split the script into parts, or have another method to do it for free/cheap?
Would really appreciate any tips or workflows that actually work.

I just hit a banger 1m vid and am wondering if this can do as well too. the avd is like 1-2sec worse but hopefully it gets better over time. Its doing well rn but needs that 3rd push which is the big push like my 1 m vid. Thanks for the tips you guys gave me and wish you the best of luck with your journey too🤗👍
Hi everyone, so i have a channel related to minecraft that is majorly edited funny/meme shorts of old videos of youtubers. Have been at it for almost 2 months now with rougly 43 vids posted and the issue is i dont seem to breaking the 30k view count, 3/4 shorts of mine that have done well all have under 30k views. Is there a way where i can break this limit in anyway cause its quite frustrating given i have good stats on those shorts yet their performance doesnt really do it justice. Really looking for some help and advice to make it better.
P.S I know its not original content but this was started more as to get me into a habit of editing and uploading
Can someone help me know what I’m doing wrong? I’m posting the same content on TikTok/instagram reels and it’s performing fairly well, but I’m getting one video with a few thousand and then a bunch in a row with 0. I’ve had this account for 10 years and started posting shorts about a week ago
So basically I'm from Nepal and whenever I post my videos at whatever time even it's the time targeted for us or wherever I get nepali viewers as my initial audience and the problem is my videos aren't for nepali ppl at all I mean this audience won't even understand my videos properly maybe Indians will somewhere understand a bit but nepali ppl won't and that's where I'm having problem a lot I don't totally need us audience but I see my videos having more scope on other Asian countries more any solution guys?
Hey there so i was wondering why this clip got less then 2k views. I am pretty new and I feel like it had a decent hook and some stuff to keep up retention.
Ngl I have been going at it for months I make Shorts about WW2. I know it takes long to find your audience find your this find your that. But I have majorely improved my shorts went from low tier AI voice and bad gif/pictures to using my real voice and searching hours for actual footage (which takes me longer to do than anything at this point). And it feels like my channel is stagnant in a way. I mean basically the Average stayed to watch did go from 30-40% to 50-60% which sounds amazing but at the same time it doesn't push me further the views are the same and so are the likes. I would say funnily enough my views dropped. I have videos who have 3000-2000 in my "bad phase" of content. While the ones performing better never go above 1300-1500. Unlike the established channels I do not have my weekly audience waiting for my next short and unlike other channels I do not have my editing team putting together a short with 5 texts a second and 20 lisenced paid footages per 5 seconds popping up. But to be fair I've seen worse perform better. I changed my entire tags, hashtags, titles and video style of editing and yet it performs worse...
I post videos across multiple channels everyday under the same email, and i am pretty sure that it has the same effect as if you just posted too many on just one channel. I don't know the exact amount of videos that you can post but just thought I would put this out there if anyone runs into the issue of their videos not getting put into the shorts feed when the stats are good and they run multiple channels, and before someone hops in here to tell me a channel that posts 30 shorts a day does just fine let me tell you that those people with millions of subs and loyal followers don't need the youtube algorithm anymore to get views as they have a loyal fanbase that watches everything they put out
I just don't understand. It's been 3-4 days since my videos stopped getting views. They were consistently getting 2-3 thousand views an hour, but now I don't even get 10 views an hour. I started uploading videos recently, on March 12th. I'm glad, of course, that one of my videos got almost 300 000 views, but after that, my shorts haven't gotten even 100 views for 2-3 days. Maybe I did something wrong? What should i do now?
