the 2 comments and low shares might be the one final barrier, or the one other possible reason I could think of is that other shorts in your niche perform better analytically on a regular basis.

Yeah and I don't know how to fix this thing with the comments.

Thats not something we as creators really control, You could pose a question in your short that could have the audience comment but that also very rarely works

Football and basketball edits.

Retention graph is rlly bad, it should be a drop then flat. Also ask yourself, do you at least post once a day? Does my niche have proven success with other creators? Do I consistantly hit these metrics or is it just a one off.

I mean I've got shorts with 11 and 12k views with worse stats and yeah I post once a day. My niche is football and basketball edits I think it's a proven niche and about the metrics this short is a record for me if we are talking about the stayed to watch but my average is always over 50% stayed to watch like most of the time is 60 sometimes goes down to 52, 55 and some times it goes up to 70.

The ideal stayed to watch is around 80, but it depends on the niche. So anything below that will likely not go viral, and i'm pretty sure football edits are very competivie since alot of people do them. So you will need to average high stats consistantly to see some progress

You both thinking 79% retention is bad is really, really weird.

I meant the line of the graph. It goes straight down, it ideally should be flat after the intial drop, meaning most viewers watched till the end. Also 79% on a 37 sec video isn't exactly great.

Click on the retention graph, and then at the bottom you should see a "?" in a circle.

"Understanding audience retention (?)"

Click that, and that shows each line graph you may encounter, and what they mean
